Five Chinese players were suspended from the tour last week.

Now Yan Bingtao has been suspended today for the same reasons :nono:

That's a pretty big and worrying development for Snooker.

Yep, this definitely has the feeling of scratching the surface on a grander scale instead of some investigation that is close to finishing.

Chang Bingyu released a statement on his suspension saying that Liang Wenbo threatened and coerced him into fixing his match against Jamie Jones at the British Open.

Liang was actually the first one banned(a separate offence to his previous ban earlier this year), and it seems to have stemmed from there.

Wow just googled it, bit of a dick move by Liang Wenbo. Two sides to every story but still.

Wenbo sounds like a right dick. He's also been done for assault not long ago too.

Wenbo has gone off the rails this year.

Got suspended for that assault for four months, returned to the tour in August then got suspended again two months later.

If Chang Bingyu’s statement is anything to go by, along with Jason Ferguson’s comments on numerous news outlets regarding the situation, I could be wrong, but joining the dots seems Liang Wenbo may have threatened and coerced numerous Chinese players into fixing matches.

As I said earlier, it’s strange that Wenbo was banned first, then the rest have followed.
