That 48-49 one is awesome, but also something I’d make on paint. The 80s/early 90s is beautifully simplistic.

Our badge has evolved pretty nicely.

It's a bloody Alsatian dog:

Don't worry, the next badge is bound to look more like a fox and less like an German Shepherd dog.

Interesting this bit - "Old football magazines, from the 1920s, such as Football & Sports Favourite and All Sports Weekly refer to Leicester City as the ‘Knuts’ (alluding to filbert nuts), and the ‘Citizens’."

Most of the streets around Filbert St. and even Filbo itself are named after nuts. Walnut, Brazil & Hazel(2x w/Filbo).

Also I know people like to shoot down the view from other Club's fans that we're a Tory club, but there's been a clear play on symbolism historically of fox hunting traditions of this County. Even if the Post Horn Gallop isn't a fox hunt standard itself, it sure looks like one ... and we play in blue, so that's another easy association to make these days as politics = red/blue in the minds of most.

The riding crops are definitely a bit grim looking back and I'm glad they've gone. Always found it a bit weird when people romanticise about the old riding crops badge.

Where do you find these old football mags?

Leicester is one of the most Labour areas in the country…

I never knew that filbert was a type of Hazel nut!

I knew alot of the streets around were named after nuts, Brazil, almond, walnut, Hazel, but never knew the link to filbert!

Learn something new every day.

Think we should start calling our selves the knuts again. Then again some people might misread that.

Me neither - I knew it was a nut, but I didn’t know it was a hazelnut
