Vardy's Eagle Celebration joins the great moments of football history

Here's something for those fun-loving Palace fans heading for the King Power this weekend.

 

Illustrator Oz Casanova makes pictures of great moments in football history in a unique style.

 

 

For some reason, he makes the players' heads really tiny, which makes the one below even funnier:

 

 

The victim of the next one was, of course, a Palace fan.

 

 

What Matthew Simmons shouted at Cantona was pretty similar to what Matterazzi said to Zidane - but in court Simmons claimed, hilariously, that all he'd said was "Off! Off' It's an early bath for you, Mr. Cantona!"

 

So here's the latest addition to the collection - Jamie Vardy's eagle celebration at Selhurst Park:

 

 

 

It's got all the trademarks - picture book colour scheme, the moment well captured, the small head. 

 

Lovely.

 

But actually it's not Oz Casanova's artwork.

 

It's what you get if you google 'Thornton Reservoir, Leicestershire'.

I think it was @StanSP who recently suggested statues of all his goal celebrations should be built around the King Power. Well, there we have it - a 75 acre tribute in the Leicestershire countryside.
