I do. Straight through that turnstile and straight out again. I'm not sitting in traffic for anyone.

Best way.  I always get a taxi on nights out.  I get to the bar , order 6 pints, drink one, leave 5, gone before my mates even arrive . Loads of cabs.   Sorted, no hassle and at least i had a bit of drink .

Ok, a different point (not worth a separate thread) but why can't attendance figures show the attendance! (The club know these.) Judging by the empty seats from the start (let alone the end!) the attendance was not 31647, which I guess is tickets sold, including all ST holders. I tam fairly certain  this standard practice across all clubs. Time for it to end.

But the people that stay until the end are better fans than the ones that routinely leave early, thats the point. They're prepared to commit more time and energy to supporting the club, and willing to accept a slightly longer and later journey home. Same way that someone who goes home and away is a better fan than someone to goes to one home game a year. Support is quantifiable.

tbf a pretty floored point;

by such logic, say someone who has a medical emergency in the crowd, they arent as loyal as others cos theyve had to leave they will leave the game early

think the ST figures are always in the attendance numbers regardless if they attend or not, then after that it goes on ticket sales etc,

could be wrong

Was in SK1 for the Brighton match. The 80 minuters hung on until 82 minutes this time. They didn't go straight down, they hung on on the stairs to see a bit more action - this obscures the view for some people. They go down, witness the goal on the screens on the concourse then rush back up again to savour the atmosphere.

Am I right in thinking that statistically we score a lot of late goals - so why leave 10 mins early?

Not sure who I despise more, the 80 minuters or the people in the director's section who don't appear until 10 minutes after the second half has started.

I agree it's peoples choice,  but I can't understand why they would take the effort to attend,  then miss 10-15 minutes.

Most of the greatest football moments are when a last minute winner/equaliser goes in, whether you're playing or watching.

Imagine missing Leo's winner v Norwich or the Walsh and Claridge Wembley ones.

Villa Park , when we came back for a 4-4 and giving Little( I do like him now) a load of stick , whilst he walked to the tunnel,  was priceless 😆🦊💙

I really dont get leaving early at football matches, if you had tickets for a concert would you leave with 2 songs to go 🤭

Tbf I have done that twice in the last year or so. I usually look up setlists before a gig, to get a feel. If I know a band routinely ends on X song I'm not that keen on, you can bet I'm sodding off early and saving my legs aggro of queueing to get out. Can really knacker my knees

What band have you been to see that finish with a shit song? ( just interested)

I've been to see The Charlatans loads of times and they always finish with Sproston Green , which is worth the entry on its own.

Although I agree as my knees and ankles are always fooked for a good few days after, as I never learn😄😄

It's pretty much standard practice across all clubs, and tbh other spectator sports as well.

I believe the club have to give accurate attendance figures to the relevant safety authorities, for their records.   But nearly always quote the "tickets sold" figure, to the general public.

The only time i remember them quoting an exact attendance, was when we played Middlesbrough in the snow 10 or so years ago.   There were only about 8500 in the ground, so quoting 25000 would've made them a laughing stock.   In fairness to the club, they did quote the 8500 figure.

If you're leaving on 85 minutes each home game with a medical emergency possibly you should be watching on the tele or listening on the wireless

If you're attending with a nigh on 100% chance of being struck down by a medical emergency you would, in my eyes, be a super fan and going well beyond the call.

I didn't go on Sunday as I had brochities. I'm feeling a bit plastic now

I would suspect we have very different experiences of gigs. Usually I'm at gigs where there's enjoyable violence - elbows, kicks, stage diving etc.

If I go see a bigger band, it's normally because I like their album stuff and they usually end with a poppy one. Saw Offspring and binned off the entire encore a few years ago.

I know it’s not an exact science as football is so fast but if you are going to leave please

make sure Leicester don’t have the ball. We had to stand up to let 2 people out and although I saw Vardys goal I’m sure i impaired the people sat behind me.

Fair play👏👏

Although some of the gigs I've been too have been lively,  they're probably not that level😄

think we all are on the edge of something when we see Faes running out from the back with the ball:ph34r:

anyone has a chance of that on the 2nd point, remember Liam he used to go with his ill health,

tho as i said, it isnt all black and white, clear cut, funny how people are in uproar in regards leaving early yet nothing much on people arriving late or going to the concourse on 35/40mins

Last one I went to, a bloke's nose exploded and another one knocked himself out hitting concrete. Great fun.

There's been plenty said on that over time. But the thing is, the interruption is annoying but temporary. The problem is those that hang around and get in the way.

When was the last time you seen 32k people leaving the cinema at the same time? Probably not the best example.

I never did find out what happened at the end of Titanic.

Expensive though, hard to get in and out.  Not recommended
