Ay, surely we'd be getting a fee for it being hosted here?

A much needed few pennies in the coffers.

Karen Carney is without doubt the worst commentator of all time. How the hell does she keep getting these gigs. Monotone at its best. Just awful. Id rather listen to Joe Pascale!

I expect they wouldn't want to have it in London on the same weekend 90k fans go down there for the Womens Euro Final

They would also have to take into account any the other London clubs playing games today (Millwall, Leyton Orient, Wimbledon, Arsenal)

I doubt Man Utd or Everton would like to host, Newcastle played a friendly, maybe Leeds could have?

Cardiff played at home so wouldn't be able to use Millenium stadium

With all that a Midlands team would make sense

We have no other teams to worry about, and apparently the media facilities at Villa Park are shocking

Bang on. Logical, reasoned and well written reply. Sounds perfectly reasonable taking all those factors into account.

Commonwealth Games in Birmingham as well so would add to Villa Park not used

I ****ing hate Scousers.

I also hate Mancs and I resent the fact one is sat in my seat.

I’ve turned off because I keep seeing a Manc in my seat. Just pleased it’s not a scouser 😂😂

I'd imagine the place will be covered in shitty little stickers.

Better chance of your seat still being there after the game with a Manc though

FA said they needed a ground for this and we approached them and they agreed. Fact.

Sometimes things are just simple.

That’s true. Villa Park wouldn’t have made sense at all.

Its not too common for a decision to have been made using logic of how it would impact the cities over sheer financial gain.

Guarantee not a single bod in this thread has one salient reason to justify why they “hate” scousers. Not surprised it’s the usual ‘ooo pick me’ competition to see who can spout the most baseless rubbish about an entire city of people.

They call me a Tory because of the club I follow.

That's insulting enough.

In general, they’re just self-entitled, moaning b@stards.

The non-scouse Liverpool fans are worse though imo.

I also wouldn’t take the word ‘hate’ too literally, for most I imagine they just find them mildly annoying.

The initial post you were arguing about was okay really wasn't it

I don’t hate all scousers. But I do despise all Liverpool fans, including the ones in my extended family 😂😂

If I didn’t hear Kate Bush again, I’d be okay with it.

Agreed. Placebo version is better anyway.
