We've always have a new kit thread, but what are some of you favourite retro shirts? 

 

I'll kick us off...

 

Was lucky enough to have the Sampdoria and Milan shirts.

If they didn't work, they were Denmark's classic Hummel shirt, Newcastle's 1995 Maroon and blue hoops, AC Milan's 1990 classic and Netherlands Euro 88 winning shirt.

I find the current trend of every club trying to mimic a shirt from their past to be a little dull to be honest

The Dutch 86 shirt was my first ever football kit. I was 2 when it came out my Dad got it me just after they won the Euros as he was working in Holland at the time. It absolutely buried me and i think it was around 1990 when it started to fit! I believe i still have it well its at the parents house in their loft along with all my other kits from back in the day. 

 

I have always had a soft spot for the Dutch national side because of it.

It's a monstrosity that was clearly designed by someone on a deadline, who'd just railed two lines of Colombian nose candy, but it was my first foreign shirt and I love it.

My first and only ever foreign shirt I owned. Wore it til it fell apart.

Saw someone in Loughborough wearing that the other day, pretty sure there's another joke about the town and Colombian nose candy in there too...lovely shirt though!

Saw a lad at Bedford train station earlier today with a retro home Leicester kit on. Think it was Bukta with the running fox badge. Wonder if he's on here...

Back in the very early 00s, myself and a couple of mates from school played in a five-a-side tournament at St. Margaret's Pastures. Needing a shirt, we clumped together whatever cash we could, went to the sports shop under Lee Circle car park, and picked five matching shirts from the bargain bin. We ended up playing in this:

Yes but then I checked my actual shirts from that time that my son now wears and they're exactly the same.
