Praet did ok, but I got the impression that the commentators were desperate to fawn all over him for some reason. The way even fairly basic passes were praised I thought I was still watching women’s football for a minute.

Always worries me slightly that phrase (at who it tends to get attributed to)

 

I cba to.list the amount of clever passes md finishes I've seen kels deliver.... One example I will pluck  (out of scores of examples) is that exquisitely weighted inside pass to Barnes at Eindhoven. That ain't the act of someone 'brainless'

IMO I thought he offered more than others, made some clever runs, he enhanced the passing interplay in midfield and was prepared to have a shot.

 

we shouldn’t sell Praet unless we can bring in someone better.

Yep - agreed.

 

I said on the post match thread that I’d rather Hamza or Soumare go first, but it might just come down to who we can shift and for how much

I noticed Mendy (who looked as reliable and neat as ever)  did a 'man city' foul, ie got dispossessed followed by an immediate cynical foul to block the break. Something we never, and mendy especially, ever do (yet man City do it at will)

I can see him improving that unlike Praet who's career to date has been steady each season, KDH has a much more positive and driving effect on the team, something we've missed since Kante.

Nothing in his career at any level suggests he'll do that. But he was born in Leicester, and runs a lot. So that's more important than anything else for many as evidenced by mahrez being booed and kante being cheered....

Thats why i say half the time because sometimes he can do something brilliant then others completely brainless in my opinion
