hirst is definitely good enough for the championship it’s not his ability in question… it’s his confidence.

He just can’t seem to make an impact off of the bench. on both loan deals in league 1 the managers have had to trust him and just let him make his way in slowly. Once he gets going he’s really unreal.

if blackburn played him from the off and just gave him a few weeks… i can guarantee he’d have been scoring for them. But most clubs don’t have that patience.  Very smart management by mckenna who saw how it went down at portsmouth.

He would do a job for us if we go down i think we will see that next season when ipswich sign him for the tiny amount we’ve put in his contract now. (cheers blackburn )

Hirst needs to leave this club desperately , his time here has been a total disaster. His value has increased to £2 million or so and we should take it.

Anyone see what the injury was? I only read that he limped off.

Ipswich fans clamouring to sign him permanently at least.

Todays Games - Monday 8th May

Championship:

Hamza Choudhury - starting for Watford vs Stoke

Marc Albrighton - not in the squad for West Brom vs Swansea

League One:

Kasey McAteer - starting for Wimbledon vs Grimsby

Josh Eppiah - on the bench for Northampton vs Tranmere

Jakub Stolarczyk - on the bench for Hartlepool vs Stockport

Ben Nelson - out injured for Doncaster vs Walsall

West Brom and Northampton are the only ones with something to play for:

West Brom - slight hope of making the playoffs if they win and other results go their way

Northampton - currently in 3rd which is automatic promotion, 2 points ahead of 4th
