Women's Football 2022-23

Recommended Posts

Of course, the most important thing about the women's game in England is that a select few teams play each other constantly to be prepared for a few games in Europe each season. That'll be great fun for watch. Welcome to the few that have tuned in, this is the 8th meeting of Man City v Chelsea ladies and we're about at the half way point of the season.

Removing the ability to grow and get promoted to the top league will definitely promote ambition and growth in the women's game.

But is watching complete whitewash results any better? I don’t see who another 9-0 to Chelsea helps.

Would LCFC’s owners throw a bit more buck at it if they had no threat of relegation? It’s pretty clear from the promoted clubs that the depth of quality isn’t within the pool of British players.

Generally speaking, the FA never should have jumped in with the male game hierarchy. They should have completely remodelled it - salary caps etc and have a chance to develop something completely fair. Instead they let Chelsea and Man City do their thing. Then the others had to catch up.

This generation of Women,is something special…even the youngsters fitting in..

Still strange that our League only produces at present only 6-7/12 clubs who play at a different higher tempo…The consistent bottom clubs need new influx of mixed

home grown & foreign players..
