What is the experience at other clubs?  Is this push for digital ticketing something fans of all clubs (fsa?) Should protest?

We know an avid Leicester based Man U ST holder.

Man U have no option for a physical card.

You MUST go mobile.

This is the way all clubs will want to go

Has anyone actually managed to sell their ticket via the resell platform?

Last season, and this, I've not been able to make a handful of games, every time I've put them on the platform, and each time they've not been sold.

Also tried "forwarding" my ticket to my dad for a game, and the platform wouldn't let me, rang the ticket office, which was closed, at 11am the day before the game...

Scam.

Tried twice this season, West Ham and Fulham and both times it didn't sell.

Surprised we haven’t been forced into it at away games. Everton supporting acquaintance was saying Man U away was mandatory nfc ticketing for them, and they expect the same at Liverpool. One good thing from our ‘ticket office shambles’ if they are pushing back against this

It will be more about touting/demand at them clubs than anything else. It’s extremely difficult to get away tickets for them.

Arguably the same as us. And ticket office shambles have introduced measures like ID checks at away games, so it would be easy for them to have nfc tickets ‘mandated by the host club’

Nah, it’s not on the same level as us where their fans routinely buy tickets in the home end/hospitality/for £££s from touts although I get the point about ours being a closed shop, you can easily get tickets for every game on here.

Its obviously going to go that way for our away tickets though, it’s an easy way for the club to limit the passing on of tickets although probably not fool proof.

Did our own fans protest about NFT?

I refused to go NFT and paid the extra for a physical  card.

The majority of our spineless fanbase probably  went NFT therefore not an issue for our hierarchy to laugh at us as always and say " told you we can do what we want"

Of the 22,549 Season Ticket Holders for 2024/25, 9,885 opted for a physical card at a £25 fee, with a further 6,195 Concessions eligible for a free physical card.

The continued adoption of Mobile Tickets has seen notable additional uptake, with a total of 6,469 Mobile Season Ticket Holders using NFC (Near Field Communications) for the new Premier League season - a four-fold increase on last season.

I'd like to know what percentage of that had a card last time and kept it rather than those already on nft

Based on the information about the NFC saying it had increased by 4 fold means that the season before there was 1,617 STH holders who had digital tickets so 4,852 opted to not to pay the £25 fee

Using the same amount of total STH (22,549) for the 23/24 season 92.8% (20,932) had a card and 7.2% (1.617) opted for digital tickets

for current season 24/25 total STH(22,549)  Physical Card Holders (9,885 Paid): 43.8%, Physical Card Holders (6,195 Free Concessions): 27.5%, Mobile NFC Users (6469): 28.7%

If everyone of the concessions chose a physical card then 71.3% of Total STH has a physical card compared to 92.8% the previous season

I told the club that as a man of a certain age my mobile was for emergency only...ie calls and text only...they accepted this and I retained my ST card rather than digital...obviously I was being totally honest lol

I'm guessing they wont give the option (To existing digital ST holders) to go back to the plastic cards?

i doubt it very much and wouldnt surprise me if there is no option at all for a card - unless its an extreme circumstance.

Let's face it, whether we like it not, we're being herded into the digital age.

Even if LCFC would be happy for us to have the choice of analogue v digital entry they'll be under instruction to achieve it by a certain date.

It's not difficult to see the direction of play especially with some big clubs already further down the line than us

It's honourable seeing Foxes fan debate it and push back, but it only delays the move at best

I'd bet almost everyone here will cross the line when pushed (after the asking phase has been completed) rather than missing out!

That’s an easy bet to make, of course people will because they won’t want to miss out and have no other option, doesn’t mean people will Be happy or agree with it of course, Digital tickets is just a nightmare for football compared to other events like concerts, festivals or shows

Totally wrong. IIRC 16k physical cards against 23k sth’s. We had the banner by UFS at the last 23/24 home game plus some rip roaring statements by them. Whisper it but I think even the foxes trust protested!! The only way to not be ‘spineless’ if you don’t like lcfc is to give up all interaction, or lead the reform, which very few on here will do

I’d say it’s quicker to get in the ground using my phone than having to go into my wallet to get my card.
More than happy I didn’t pay £25 for nothing.

Except for when it doesn't work, isn't automatically updated, you have no signal or phone is broken.

Definitely quicker than getting your wallet out of probably the same pocket as your phone.

It’s never not worked for me. One press on the phone and it’s there.

It’s just saved in the wallet on the phone. Automatically gets updated prior to each match.

Good for you. Read the room though it doesn't for everyone.
