Yes letting many get involved instead of just the few singers, when the home games were on tv you could hear the clappers a lot as well and it sounds pretty nice as a means of fan involvement.

I suppose the view towards them is down to if you a traditionalist or not.  I thought they were a good thing.   Better than the usual shouting foul language at players for sure.

They were better for the younger supporters who can’t clap or cheer as loudly as adults. I’ve never been against the clappers for that reason, but the club oversupplied and there was a lot of wastage. Bring them back in smaller quantities and have them in collection bins by the turnstiles. Win win.

It's a new level of desperation when we're hoping some bits of cardboard can do a better job with our results than a bloke we pay £10M a year,  and is a professional manager.

Given they improved the atmosphere and our results yes.

Assuming you're not a WUM ...

They gave a temporary lift in the staying up season ... something different that maybe invigorated a few fans to make a bit of noise.  I'll concede that much

In the title year, there was so much general noise and support coming from the fans, that the clappers were a bit of an irrelevance ... and I don't think made any real difference one way or the other.    Although I confess that towards the end of 2015-16, I was smashing my clapper to pieces in an attempt to make even noise.    But I was screaming my head off anyway, so it wasn't like it made that much difference.

After 2015-16 though, they became an absolute embarrassment.   Away fans took the p*ss, and they sounded awful on TV.

It took us another 6 years to get rid of them.   Better late than never, I suppose.

It would be so Leicester if we brought back the clappers instead of sacking the manager

Don’t joke, there was talk internally that they would be if results were poor so I wouldn't be shocked.

There are signs of the odd person around me remembering how to clap with their own hands.

It's a miracle that we never thought would happen.

Praise be to the baby Jesus.

To be fair, our fortunes turned when they came in for the Great Escape and now they’ve gone…

It’s like how that Statue of Liberty near the stadium went down just before we turned shite and got put back up just before we rose again.

The universe works in strange ways!

We got any more kings buried in car parks around here?
