Pre match is just about right, I think. The Kasabian mix works and When You're Smiling is growing all the time.

Will never get the lights show but fortunately we shouldn't have many more this season.

Also that shite song post match needs changing.

Not sure this is the right thread but not starting a new one just for me to have a moan.

I've always liked to be in and around the noisier parts of the ground (pen 2, then L1 and more recently sk1 or g1). But with costs rising i had a look at tickets in A1 where they are much cheaper (33 as opposed to 45 in g1 for a cat c game).  It struck me that a1 is more or less a mirror image of g1 with much the same view and could only come up with one explanation for this (feel free to correct me if im wrong, which is a given on here 😂)

For all the clubs resistance to an expanded singing section in the past and my assumptions from what ive read on here, that the club see UFS as an irritation or a thorn in their side, they are blatantly trading off of UFS' popularity by charging more in g1 than a1 because it is close to them and the singing section.

Not the biggest issue to be resolved but hypocrisy and profiteering really grates on me.

Edit.  c2 as well as a1 similarly priced

Constantly plastering UFS over photos used on official club social media as well.

In fairness to the Club (and I hate to be fair, as they've annoyed me so much recently) ...

But I don't think the prices for G1 are "high" as such.   G1 prices are consistent (relatively speaking), with the rest of the East Stand and the Kop.

I think that A1 and C2 were branded as "Just The Ticket", were always an attempt to offer some lower priced seats in the ground.   A1/C2 are disproportionately "cheaper", compared to the rest of the hideously-overpriced rest of the ground.   If that makes sense?

Thanks for replying/explaining 👍.  I wasnt aware of the "just the ticket" scheme.

I still think it begs the question as to why g1 wasnt included if they were trying to keep the cost of tickets in the corners lower though .

I don't have a season ticket and go to games when I'm lucky enough to get one for me and my son. Listening on five live, the commentator made a point of saying how the ground emptied on Brighton going 2 up. I'll be honest, I've left the ground early before under certain circumstances but this tied in with what a lot of people have said on here before, are some fans even bothered about it or is it just something to do?

Look it's been happening for 30+years that I've been going, it will always happen, that's our fanbase.  We leave early.

I do chuckle though when I see some managers of english teams doing the same as they do in italy, germany etc...when they go over to the fans  at the end of the game only to be greeted by a half empty stand with the rest shuffling away.

Poor

Summed up by the massive amount of early leavers. I hope they now regret missing one of the greatest feelings as a football fan, late goals, but probably no regrets at all.
Zero passion.

I enjoyed those two goals even more knowing it would stick it to those that left on 80 minutes. Crap supporters.

You just beat me to it. As I said above though, they probably aren’t even arsed they missed it.

Blame the infrastructure around the ground. Can take hours getting home after the game. Need to sort that out first.

And yet I’m already on my second pint and I live in the county!
