Jordan speaking about this narrative rearing its head where club are using Ruud as a scapegoat is nail on head stuff. Anyone can see he's been dealt a horrific hand, been lied to about funds, and is now sending a message that he stands with the fans clearly about how this club has been run.

 

Why people are vilifying him, I've no idea. If fans haven't figured out that the same thing happened with Rodgers, Enzo and now RvN...they're never gonna get it.

Probably because of his constant selection of an aging front 3, and CB partnership of Faes and Okoli (I don't blame him as much).

But sort of defeats the purpose, I have no problem with RVN calling out the board because they have dealt him a very bad hand, but RVN has to do it for himself he has to be self motivated to perform, if he does that he will have the fans backing, and only that.

Doesn't matter, the squad is pants mate so try all you want, we are easily in the bottom 3 squads in the league and that will be shown come the end of the season in our position. He wasn't backed.

Agree with the focus your attention at the board not the manager conversation, not that it's right that RVN has chucked the towel in, but its more the reasons why and all we will do is get another desperate manager who we will make the job difficult for.

 

Loved the comparisons between us and Man United, I have been saying all season Man United are us but they have more money to make mistakes with.

 

Until we bring in "football people" at the top end of the hierarchy who have a vision and a plan it's difficult to see how we get back to be a stable premier league club, because right now I can't understand 80% of the things we do.

If he's picking players out of spite, I'd say Ruud is high up on our list of problems.

 

I understand he's been dealt a shit hand and is right to be angry, but if he's actively hindering us - for whatever reason - He deserves massive criticism.

As I said above mate, the change of personnel doesn't matter, its the overall point he's making. We could play Facundo and Mavididi and people on here would be extremely quick to jump on them after another 2-0 loss to West Ham tomorrow.

If the guy is not picking the players that give us the best chance of staying up to make a point, then he's a bit a knob head.

 

He's not really "showing them" by being equally incompetent.

Yeah - I do appreciate that.

 

Agree the personnel is largely irrelevant at this point, but he should still be trying different things rather than just playing the same players due to some sort of stand-off with the board.

some of our fans are completely deluded and need to wake up and smell the coffee

Why are media interviewers afraid to ask point blank questions like “ Ruud why are you picking players that continue to under perform or don’t seem to be good enough in their positions?  Don’t beat about the bush!

yeh they might ruffle a few feathers and not get invited next time but fans need clear and honest answers to plain & simple direct questions.

Because managers hold a decent amount of power and if they are repeatedly asked difficult questions by a certain reporter they will just cut them off (bit like Nige did with Stringer, under different circumstances) so Journo's tend to keep their powder dry to avoid this.
