Undr the cosh Patreon subscriber. He is the stain on our title winning team. Should have been sacked.

Actually I apologise for commenting, it’s my personal view that I don’t want people who are convicted of that sort of assault whilst at the club, then being allowed to play for the club. I realise others have different views. I don’t want an argument because it doesn’t help anyone.

Because he was found guilty of assaulting a woman, whilst playing for us.

Fair enough, indefensible.

But I assume the club felt he served his sentence and gave him a chance of redemption.

What you thoughts on Steve Walsh?

It a fair point of view, that's what a forum is about, no need to apologise.

I don't like it either but people make mistakes and have to learn from them. It about education and reform for me.

Danny Simpson should have been sacked from whatever club he was at. Football works differently, but I will always be disappointed that he wasn’t sacked by us. He is used as an example of failure by football club nationally.
Of course probation and retribution is important, but being properly punished is also.

We wouldn’t have won the league without him, but I hate that we didn’t sack him.

As for your previous point on Steve Walsh, I am unsure as to what you’re referring to specifically, but I wouldn’t give him the time of day.

Steve was assaulted David Geddis on the football pitch resulting in a 11 match ban, but is hero worshipped. To me assault is assault irrelevant of whether they are male or female. So just wondered how you felt about that.

I supposed should footballer be held to a higher standard then a bin man or factory worker who more then likely would keep their job.

Interesting one to debate.

It is definitely! Just for me Danny Simpson should have been sacked by whomever his employer was at the time. Probation should have started from that point. I am saddened when I see his name, with our legends of 2015/2016.

Sacking a player only punishes the club that sacks them.

You’re basically giving away a multi million pound asset to another club for free…there’s no logic. If you want to remove a player then you sell them - you don’t sack them.

You sack them because it’s right thing to do regardless of the money!

When we sacked Wise correctly for assaulting a teammate the scumbag sued us for wrongful dismissal and won and got a huge pay out from us, so it is not that simple.

lol It’s business mate. You don’t give away millions of pounds to a club you’re competing with.

I don’t agree with this logic when someone is found guilty of domestic assault. He should have been sacked, forget what other clubs want to do with him.
Shame on us! And most probably football in general.

It is easier when someone has been convicted in a court of law.

So, what do you feel the full extent of his punishment should have been?

Probation+Termination?

Anything else?
