No one on here has any idea what any of our players earn Bluearmy, the ridiculous guesses and made up shit that is spouted about wages never fails to make me laugh :-)

Reasoning I put the estimated amount is for two reasons really.

1) multiple people mentioned about incoming wages so thought I would put an educated guess based of supposed previous contracts. 2) A very rough estimated guess at least gives us an idea on how much we’ve saved per annum on wages.

What was the sketch with Kristiansen not being involved today?

Want away? I sincerely hope not, especially with the reports that Luke Thomas has been told he has no future.

Bit harsh. Can't we just sell him?

So far, commentators and other coaches have commented that Leicester has the best squad in the Championship with PL quality players.

I am happy with the new additions now, but I am increasingly concerned about more first team players leaving (who are top flight players including Soumare, Daka, Kristiansen, Castagne). Whether you like them or not, they are all from top leagues and are better than this league. Any other Championship side would love to have any one of them on loan if they could afford them. It would be great if we can hold on to them and not swap them for unproven loan players or reject players. We are not Burnley and need a lot of loan players - our squad is good enough as it is. Get out of the Championship first and not lose too much value in our players before then.

If they were kept and we got promoted they would have to improve massively on last season's performance to warrant a 1st team pick in the PL.

Youri Tielemans makes admission over two years of Leicester City performances
The Belgian midfielder made his Aston Villa debut at the weekend, a 5-1 loss to Newcastle, following a free transfer across the Midlands on the back of Leicester's relegation

The Belgian midfielder left the club on a free transfer this summer, moving across the Midlands to join Aston Villa. The switch ended four-and-a-half years for Tielemans on Filbert Way, and while it was a spell that started terrifically, his rocket winning the club the FA Cup for the first time, it ended in relegation.

After the 2020-21 campaign, in which Tielemans was City’s star man, his performances dipped, and he was one of many players to underwhelm last term. Supporters took a particularly harsh view of his displays too, questioning his commitment as he ran down his contract.

Now, Tielemans has admitted that his performances were not up to the level that he had set previously, and that he was as disappointed in himself as fans were in his displays.

Asked by Belgian newspaper HLN if moving to Villa was a chance at a fresh start, Tielemans said: “I shouldn't lie about that. I have played good matches in the last two years, but I have not been consistent enough in my performance. Then the results would have been better, both at club level and in the national team.

“Listen, I always want to play well, reach the top, and not disappoint the supporters. But first of all I am disappointed in myself.

“The relegation with Leicester will make it easier for people to say: 'Look, he hasn't done anything in the last year'. The fact that they expect a lot from me means that I have set the bar high with my past performance.”

Tielemans was a half-time substitute as his Villa debut ended in a thrashing by Newcastle on Saturday. The Magpies, helped by a goal and an assist from Tielemans’ former City team-mate Harvey Barnes, ran out 5-1 winners at St James’ Park.

I agree for a PL team they would need to improve, especially Castagne who was really poor defensively.  Soumare showed glimpses of brilliance under Smith. Daka does need development generally. Kristiansen would find it hard to get over Justin or even Thomas but is young so he has time to improve to play in the PL.

In terms of outs, there has been more movement in a Tramp´s underpants.   We really need to kick on or risk curtailing the re-build and peeing off EM.

Kristiansen for me..has nothing to prove..Other than he is young just learning to make progress in 2 new teams..

Rodgers..& injured..

Enzo...then injured.

Really daft if we parted ways, especially when from beginning & after he said he wants to stay..

He still has to earn his place, but also a test for me for Enzo to see if he can handle this other type of Fresh blood..

Easy to do knowing your signings, or new Academy input, but now to build up  a young semi experienced investment from recent Clubs corridors so to speak..

Like @Finnegan mentioned ,we need also to keep onto some of  our contracted players. Here is one of the decent even special causes...IMO.

£58m for Lavia.

0 assist 1 goal last year.

We gave away Maddison and Barnes on the cheap. It seems like we are quite content to give away more bargains in Soumare, Daka, Kristiansen etc. 🤦‍♂️

Lavia had 4 years left on his contract compared to Maddison had 1 year and Barnes 2 years, giving them an edge on negotiations.

Ward-Prowse is probably a fairer comparison two years left on his contract and they got 30m

The transition of the team to play as the manager requires will collapse unless he removes the hangers on and strengthens with the type of player he wants.. Unless Rudkin pulls his finger out, it could well be a missed opportunity.

Surely this season is about both club & EM,not the thought he has the major right,in our our rebuild process.

Getting rid of players, bringing others in, won’t be that simple,Enzo can’t put out massive demands…and still might have to pull in some expectations…

Just hope EM has the patience required here. Also hope we shift some out and raise a little bit of cash….
