Yes, and you have absolutely no understanding why these decisions were made, none of us do - but, obviously, you and all these other arm chair pundits feel qualified to make judgements? Perhaps Top hasn't admitted to making mistakes because he's actually involved in running the club and understands why these decisions were made and feels like the decisions were made because either a9 they were the right decisons for the club long term, or b) because he had no other choice.

You don't know and unless you have some insight into the club, you aren't in a position to be able to call things a shambles - you're entitled to that opinion, but it's only that, an opinion.

So another inexcusable board decision - sacking Brendan (surely they had to have this as an option ALL season as a minimum due to our record breaking poor start) and not having a replacement lined up?

Hate to state the obvious but we don’t have the same ownership set up when we won the league so it’s lazy to state that when comment on how well run we are surely?

Absolute nonsense.  A bad decision is a bad decision, no matter what the reasoning behind it.

As someone else pointed out, simply the decision not to get rid of Rodgers, when he was bringing the club down over a long period with relegation the inevitable, eventual result, was a shocking misjudgement.  And while we don't know the ins & outs of the reasonings of the board, some of the "armchair pundits" on here for whom you have no respect whatsoever have been following City and football in general for over 60 years and can see the game "in the round" much more than our board members can.

Don't diss him. He was always willing to do housecalls at any time, and no one had to see him  a second time...

No, no no - you're missing my point - i'm not talking about whether a decision is good or bad, i'm talking about why and how a decision is made. We can all see whether a decision was good or not, but we have no idea why that decision was made - sometimes we have to make a certain decision and it just doesn't work out.  It's easy to sit here and say 'we should have sacked rodgers earlier' but we don't know what the circumstances were, what other factors influenced this decision, we can't know that because we didn't have to make that decison.

But surely the only reason we could have had not to sack Rodgers after the first few games was the size of the payout.  We must have been able to afford it, though, because we had money in the Chtristmas window (and sacking Rodgers early on would have been much more cost effective than our 2 purchases at Christmas).

It's true that, given we aren't privy to boardroom discussions, we can only make educated guesses.  But sometimes when you look at things logically there are occasions, like this, when you can come to only one conclusion.

What a time to be alive; relegated, humiliated, and still bullet sponges are leaping to the defence of those responsible for letting everything unravel.

Sheesh.

We've got one of the best sports science / sports medical centres in the world based at Loughborough...surely we can sort something with them???

We did. But then the drain of talented people began to occur as Rodgers got more control and Rudkin allowed him. They stopped being listened to, so off they went.
