This is sort of stuff at the very least they should be doing to support older supporters.

Just seems silly it’s three days of a certain week rather than a once a week occurrence

Bit more information from the email sent:

We hope you're doing well as everyone is gearing up for the first game of the Sky Bet Championship season in just under a fortnight. We’re writing to let you know about some drop-in sessions we'll be hosting before the opening weekend of the new campaign. These sessions are all about making sure you have the best fan experience possible.

So, on Tuesday 1 August, Wednesday 2 August and Thursday 3 August, we're hosting some informal 'drop-in' sessions that we hope will be an effective way of supporting our fans with fixing minor issues that may be giving them a little trouble - such as setting up online accounts, linking accounts, getting match tickets, and using NFC (mobile) tickets.

If you, or anyone you know, is interested in joining us, all you need to do is send us an email at [email protected], or if you prefer, just drop by the stadium on either Tuesday or Thursday between5:30pm and 8pm. Alternatively, our staff will also be on-hand to meet supporters at our Open Training Session, taking place on Wednesday, from the hours of 9am and 3pm.

Entry is via Main Reception at King Power Stadium, where you’ll be guided through to the Players' Lounge to join our support team.

Before you plan your journey, it’s worth noting that parking is limited, and that spaces will only be made available on the Club’s main car park at King Power Stadium on Monday and Thursday. And if you or anyone attending has specific disability access needs, please email us at [email protected] so we can make the necessary arrangements.

We're really looking forward to seeing as many supporters as possible at King Power Stadium next week to address any of those minor problems you may be experiencing and make sure you have the best-possible time supporting your team this season.

Best wishes,
LCFC Supporter Services

The start of the big NFC push, this will be the last season with ST cards given out.

Next season will be mobile tickets only, you've been warned.

No it won't. And they have stated as much. Doesn't work for old people with shit phones or kids under 16 who can't have Google or apple wallets.

Photo ID and an additional charge for wanting a physical card is coming.

But they basically admitted liverpool and man city who I believe went NFC only had faced a massive backlash from fans.

If that's true that is fantastically stupid mobile tickets are:

1. Not accesible to older or younger fans who don't have smart phones

2. Phones run out of battery especially when you have been at work all day

3. Harder to replace at short notice if lost/ broken

Sheffield Wednesday today came out and said this for their place.
