Hmmm ….

According to Wikipedia he played the grand total of 0 (zero) games for us.

However, he was sold by Leicester, despite being “one of the better performers” at Filbert Street during the 1945/46 season.

Echoes of last season when a few of our better performers were those who didn’t play any games

In short, War League/Cup games don't count as competitive fixtures for stat keeping purposes.

Jokes aside lads this player deserves some spotlight rather than disapear into history. First player of Asian descent to play for England and this was back when the Asian community in England was in the 100’s!

its 2023 and I’m still waiting for any Asian player to rise up thru the ranks and represent England. I hope it still happens in my lifetime.

Hmm… just googled it.

During the 1945/46 season the FA Cup was played, but not League games. Do those games not count as competitive fixtures? Harsh to deprive Derby of their one and only FA Cup win.

Anyway, despite the listing of Zero games played for us I found this, which shows the two FA Cup games and the “Football League South” games that Frank played in for us:

So yeah, he played two official games for us, losing to Chelsea in the FA Cup in the original fixture and replay, and a few unofficial wartime fixtures. Wikipedia also excludes cup games from its factfile stats, that's how you get to his zero appearances.
