As I recall we were 3 up at HT at Wolves and still managed to lose.

Wolves and Middlesbrough we threw away. Got back into games at Leeds (one of my favourite ever Izzet goals that game) and Spurs and threw them away too. Maybe even Everton away too.

Agree with the Muzz goal. It was only a minute after we'd scored our first. Thrilling. And we chucked it away.

Newcastle at home at Xmas was galling, we were much the better side and they equalised last kick of game (Darren Ambrose)

Edit Southampton first game too..we were 2-0 up and drew.

Of course, Southampton, Kevin Phillips scored a screamer.

Didn't Ambrose score late on two seasons running against us lol Pretty sure he scored against us for Ipswich the season before.

Man I loved Les Ferdinand,  I think don't think I've seen anyone hit a ball as hard as Les could. Wish I could find highlights of the 2-2 cus I swear he jumped about 4 feet in the air to score a header. Man must have been able to squat a double decker bus.

Weren't we the highest scoring team to be relegated from the Premier league at the time? Agree, I felt we should've stayed up that year but we just couldn't hold a lead.. we could've scored 10 In some games and still lost

It was beyond comical how bad it got. The Middlesbrough one I lost it and smashed the **** out of my radio. Was quite a nice Sony one as well. 3-1 up with 2 minutes left.

Loved Micky Adams but he had a really small time mentality when it come to the Premier League and it seemed to set in with the players.

Had no idea he wanted to leave because we changed don't know what you're doing though. It was a strange choice to leave. Still find it unforgivable that he got Dennis Wise at Coventry.

Some amazing Goals in that video. My picks are the Nallis and Bent goals with the clip of Bernie enjoying the Goal.

Dickov was some Striker for a little fella. One of the best Poachers I've ever seen. He read situations so quickly and reacted

even quicker to score some great Goals.

Yea I remember a few games where I just turned the wireless off and wanted to put my fist through the wall.

I think I quite often ended up going pub at 445 annoyed

We made around 11 signings I think that premier league season second only to Chelsea’s Abramovich funded 12.

Adams did a great job with some really tough off field situations and tactically was fine for the championship but found out in the prem.

With that squad in the championship 02-03 we were always coming back up with how poor that league was.

Yes, Ambrose scored both late ones against us on consecutive Boxing Days for the away team in different leagues - for Ipswich in the then Championship in 2002 to grab their late winner - then for Newcastle's injury time equaliser to deny us three valuable points in 'the Prem. survival quest in 03! Unreal!
