Grandad owned a chain of toy shops in South Wales; I got the Johnny 7 gun for free one visit. It probably created my lifetime of self-entitlement.

Never clear whether Y2K bug was a real thing solved by lots of very expensive IT consultants in a marvel of modern human solution finding, or not.

I'm not sure the 'bug' wasn't overhyped but a lot of  computer programmes didn't work with a date format beyond 99. A lot of IT people did a lot of work to keep things running smoothly. So, in the end no-one noticed any issues. Speaking as someone who spent a good 2 years testing and fixing those systems. Sadly, I wasn't an expensive or well paid consultant.

This.

And those medicine balls. What was that all about? It was impossible to play any kind of ball game with them. You could only manage to chuck one about 3 inches. lol

Murder Ball was a favourite for the big guys.

At the end of every P E lesson we had to run around Viccy Park last one home got a big rubber slipper across their arse which was often me with the big fat lad being excused. I hated PE, in the summer we only played Rugby as Van Hopkins the Radio Leicester Rugby commentator was our Deputy Head. I was always made to be the hooker.

No, Jubbly ice lollies are not discontinued. In fact, Calypso brought back the iconic tetrahedral-shaped ice lollies in 2005 after they had been off the shelves for over 20 years. The lollies are now made with real fruit juice and mineral water, and are available in four fruity flavors.

The "Lovely Jubbly" slogan for the original Jubbly ice lollies was popular in the 1950s and 1960s. The campaign is said to have inspired the catchphrase from the TV show Only Fools and Horses.

Don’t remember these as much as the milk cartons, but it was a long time ago!

as a child I remember some cars with the wing indicator. And door ...

A trafficator!

I learned that word a couple of years ago, when I worked out that it was the focus of my earliest childhood memory.

All my life, I'd assumed that my earliest memory was my horror at my Dad being thrown on a bonfire when I was 3 (it turned out to be a Guy Fawkes effigy - both wore suits, I suppose).

But I'd always had this vague memory of being very young and being in the back seat of a fancy old car with my parents, pissing myself laughing at this orange light coming in and out of the side of the car. It turns out that my uncle, who lived across the road, had just such a vehicle with just such a trafficator but sold it when I was aged 2.

True story. I hope you're more entertained with that one than my post about Brexit, Para? ;)

Would have been about 1979 and I was at primary school doing PE.

Climbed one of those ropes, got to the top, my hands slipped, and I fell to the ground and split my head open - claret everywhere.

Remember Peter Kempton standing over me and shouting "ERRRR, YOU CAN SEE HIS BRAIN!!!!"

You can still see the scar 45 years on...
