Excellent work being done down at Coalville.

Really quite upset at how Glynn just decided to throw in the towel in the manner he did but people are working hard to undo that rash action.

Too true & full praise to them all.

It's so sad that all that good work getting up to step 3 has been undone, seemingly on a whim. The club is geared up to going higher than that but it will take years, if ever, to get back to that level. Totally baffling decision to pull the plug on it all

Has it been reported whether he tried to sell the club on so it could at least stay at the same level or did he just pull the plug without trying?

So effectively who is doing the work to keep them afloat? New owner named?

Hope they haven't lost their FA Cup place as a result.

Going to be tough this season to keep momentum going with no possibility of promotion. A few lads from the Under 21/23s playing in the first team - player signed with an eye to improve and then get the skeleton together for the eventual tilt next season. Hopefully the game v Saffron falls on a good date

Weren’t Saffron moved to the MFL? Think Holywell are the only other Leics. side in the league.

Fully agree that a robust pathway from juniors to senior needs to be embedded. Seems to be the philosophy we’ll be working towards.

He asked around his social circles but didn't just want to sell the club to anyone, so I think he only asked people he trusted.

Imagine the speed of the decision was to allow us to cancel any contracts with players/management and give a chance to drop down next season. If he hung around for another week and there was no buyer then we'd have had no chance of playing football this coming season.

Honestly much rather do it this way then someone like Ginelly coming in, pumping in money and leaving the club in unsustainable debt.

Yeah my bad - hoodwinked by a post I saw on a Facebook group.

Poppies fun day featured the new owners talking through their plans and doing a Q&A.

Infrastructure projects are taking priority, drainage and a decent surface already done. They’re going to build an ancillary 4G pitch for revenue generation.

Not ploughing cash at the squad but say there will be more available than last year and the target is promotion. I’d be happy with not fighting relegation and not having every Saturday home match cancelled due to rain.

It was clear we won’t be spending Harbs money, I think they’re hoping to use their connections to attract some quality loans.

Lovely sunny day, loads of beer - never left Latimer Park so positive 😁

Where were the chairman's mates? Thousands of influencers? You need to grow your brand, man.

As for Coalville, great news. Your team playing at whatever level is the only important thing. Good luck for the future, lads.

Yeah he’s life president / treasurer

Bob's a lovely man. My sister worked with him for years and he did part of my teacher training, which I never completed.

Would've been nice to see Coalville play on Cambridge Road.

Shepshed Dynamo (who according to wiki re-named themselves Dynamo from Charterhouse after Loughborough Dynamo helped them out in the mid 90s) have gone for last seasons Loughborough management team and the first 3 signings all from there too…definitely be following their results this coming season

@Gary Eatfood I don't suppose you have a list of teams who will be in Coalville's league do you?

Boro in the same level, think we got a better deal in terms of the teams and trips will be facing. Coalville should storm that league.

Doesn't look like we can be promoted in the first season as this will be classed as voluntary relegation.

Yeah we can’t go up 1st season. Basically a Nottinghamshire league, we will more than likely move to the midland league 2nd season.

Not a lot in terms of visiting places. Coalville aren’t having to do trips to Shropshire. Obvs miss out on trips to Leicestershire. Bilston is a very good ground for the level. A fair few groundshares

Coalville’s league has lots of clubs which have a history relating to local industry, so normally good clubhouses. Probably done very well out of the travelling despite only one Leics club
