I guess he could bring in him as an assistant seeing as he'd know everyone in the league and would be a good British Ear to lean on while he gets up to speed himself.

Haha, when I saw Darren Fletcher I'd immediately thought of the Forest supporting TNT commentator, and was scratching my head with the reference!

Not much in Tanners new article, apart from his team is going to be smaller than previous managers..

Van Nistelrooy was said to be enthusiastic, professional and respectful, and had already drawn up detailed plans for his first training sessions and schedule.

Details of his backroom team are yet to be revealed, but he is expected to bring in a smaller staff than previous Leicester managers and is said to be a hands-on coach.

No idea, probably take 1-2 weeks to get all settled down.

It'll take him at least that long to read all the relevant FT threads and find out from the experts here what really needs to be done.

Jelle ten Rouwelaar Has joined us as a goalkeeper coach

Very decent pedigree, I’m trying to work out the link to Kompany?

Must be nice coming in as a goalkeeping coach looking after the best young talent in the league….. and Danny Ward.

Thought there was couple of new faces on the bench last night from where I was sat.

Alcock was always defo going to go, he’s fully coopers man. I imagine Dawson and Hughes will stick around having been club recruited and compensation paid for.

I think it might have been a situation with Bart Verbruggen (Brighton)… the two have got the same career path. I would presume Verbruggen joined Anderlecht and asked them to bring in his previous goalkeeping coach - and then Kompany ended up taking a liking to him.

Decent detective work there! I guess we’ll see when he gives him a big hug on Sunday lol

Can’t fully take the credit, saw someone on twitter say “he made Verbruggen” and noticed he’d followed Verbruggen through Breda, Dutch Youth Teams and Anderlecht lol

Hopefully he can work on Jakub from a ball playing perspective. He’s got pretty much everything else! I’d love to see him be Mads successor rather than having to spend big.

"The new man was Jelle ten Rouwelaar, who was at Manchester United with Van Nistelrooy this season. The Dutchman joined Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff in the summer after previously working at Burnley and Anderlecht with Vincent Kompany. Van Nistelrooy mentioned by name in his post-match press conference, describing ten Rouwelaar as "his assistant/goalkeeping coach"."

So Alcock might yet stay, like how we had De Bernardin as Maresca's GK coach and Caballero as Maresca's AssMan?

Quite clear Rudkin either needs replacing or needs help so I’ve done some digging and these options for technical/sporting director role would be decent:

Arnold Bruggink (DOF at Twente, friends with RVN)

Eduardo Macia - currently at Spezia with a decent track record at us, Fiorentina and Liverpool.

Simon Wilson - currently at Stockport (way too good for them)

Oliver Ruhnert - done an outstanding job at Union Berlin.
