I didn't say obligation. But we could have the contract drawn up similarly to Fatawu. Where his was obligation to buy on promotion, this could be obligation on survival.  That's if we can't get it as an option with first refusal.  In this situation there's literally no better way to do it if we are actually trying to get the player. The alternative is just pay up.

But they're not going to accept that.

In fairness, immense stats.

Can't see it as likely really. Benfica would want huge wedge.

In a side who are going to dominate as often as Benfica they're really impressive defensive stats. We'd do well to get him in on that profile. We've not had a solid defensive midfielder since Ndidi's drop off at some point in 2021.

Out of all the players we been linked with so far this is the one I want to happen the most! Anymore news on this?

He’s not played in the prem before. Not domestic. So SC don’t want him 👀

I'd be surprised if we signed him now that Ndidi has re-signed; he's a pretty similar destroyer type of midfielder (I think his passing is probably better than Ndidi's), and too good to just be a rotation option.

Leicester #LCFC have made a survey for midfielder #Florentino Luis

The survey had a yes a no and maybe he ticked all 3 boxes 😩

Maybe that’s the look we are going for, proper gritty hard working midfield that win everything, but have absolutely nothing going forward😂
