When it’s like 3 yards this makes sense, but to play devils advocate, this rule was brought in because of how often the flag went up, a goal was scored and chalked off and it turned out it was onside. The linesmen are instructed to do this so their hands are tied.

Cant see Holland worrying the likes of Spain and Erm....rem...all the other scintillating  teams so far!!

Just seen that Netherlands  goal with a pair of discarded white trainers in the path of the attacking player. New Romania assistant coach Nigelska  Pearsonescu looked a bit guilty sitting barefooted on the bench.

If I was a defender I totally would have kicked one of the shoes towards the ball just to stop play. Mainly cos I'm a cvnt.
