12k jobs added in the non-farm payrolls for October! A horrendous result, so bad it almost feels like election interference. Consensus was around 100k. Any easy money made on Gilts in the week washed away with this announcement. If Orangeman had any sense he'd seize upon this devastating economic news. Most likely be seizing on a big mac instead

Suspect some folk (like Rory here) are going to be left with egg on their face if Trump does in fact win.

There again we're seeing Trump supporters already readying their excuses - "the Democrats will cheat like last time" etc., so maybe it is going to be a Harris victory. Who really knows?

Is it just me or does Stewart look like he's just come out of the club shop at the KP?

Given that the last fivethirtyeight analysis had (out of 1000 modelled outcomes) Trump 514 wins, Harris 484 wins and 2 dead heats, I think anyone stating anything with certainty about the result is lying.

The above being said, however, the closeness of the polls and the value of the electoral votes in each swing state means the gap between a Harris 300+ and a Trump 300+ is very, very small. So a "big" victory for either candidate is perfectly plausible.

Yeah, under his jacket I bet he’s got that KP Cuban shirt on.

Yeah, I’ve seen people stating with absolute certainty that Harris will win and also people stating with absolute certainty that Trump will win. Not necessarily supporters of each either.

I’m anticipating a Trump win but it wouldn’t be that much of a surprise to me if Harris came out victorious.

Trump is utterly ridiculous but he’d get my vote for the following reasons:

1. Kamala is incompetent

2. The line - “you are going to put that cartoon in charge of the nuclear weapons” doesn’t really have credibility since he has already had a term and seemed to do all right.

Shame that the USA has been incapable of nominating decent candidates in recent history though.

Can you elaborate on why you think Harris is incompetent? I personally don’t think you can.

To be honest, I'm not sure it's even about that. It's about her being more competent and moral in the job than a man who was ready to incite people to overthrow the results of a free and fair election to the point that they seriously tried last time out. Among other things.

Yes I know. Hence my question.

Surprised at your willingness to vote for a pussy grabber

Unless he has been forgiven for his numerous sins by peddling the Trump bible for the small sum of  $59.99

Alright, let's not dogpile and let's hear further reasoning here - further comments along the lines of "oh, just another left-wing echo chamber" would be a possible next step from here and would be tiresome.

The idea that someone would stump for Trump perplexes me, but I do want to understand rather than dismiss it, if only so later on there will be a fuller explanation as to why action was taken that led to dreadful acts occurring.

I think pointing out 4 irrefutable facts, regardless of political position, was pretty uncontroversial.

I'm being pedantic here but I don't think there is any finding that Trump is a rapist, just a perpetrator of sexual assaults

And, more's the pity, even those selfsame facts appear to be matters of debate these days than fact.

With that in mind, I'd rather find out more and see how things play out rather than have lines in the sand drawn from the very start, even if they are very well-based.

I admire your stance. My mental health cannot withstand joining you, unfortunately.
