Brilliant today - he’s just got the know how. 8/10

He was part of the reason we barely had a sniff of the ball in the 2nd half. Looked knackered and no closing down.

The 2nd half performance was all down to Ayew 😂

Should be coming on in game like this for the last 20 to slow things down and win free kicks. For me he doesn't provide enough of an attacking threat to warrant a starting place. I think the only reason he's good at winning fouls is because he can't be bothered to run with the ball.

He's an attritional player.  He's not a tricky, exciting winger. He's good at keeping the ball, winning free kicks, bring others into play (somewhat). And for that he's going to be hated by some. Unfairly derided by others. But I can see why as well. Fatawu was my favourite player last season, and in an attacking sense he offers so much more than Ayew. To be honest I think on song he offers more than any of our forwards. But wingers like Fats and Mav are less consistent with what they do, they'll lose the ball more as part of the game they play. Enzo was fine with that because the team was set up to win it back and go again.  Cooper plays more risk averse so he'd rather not lose it in the first place, but that then negates the offensive potential you have in your wide players.

I'd rather he was a sub though tbh.  The fact he could come on and do a job for any of Mav, Buo or Fats makes him useful, especially if we're defending a lead.  Starting him just seems a bit like cowardice tbh.

A lot of the players looked spent as they had put a shift in. To pin it on Ayew is blinkered at best.

Was rather underwhelmed like most when we signed him but I've warmed to him , still believe he needs to be used in the last 20 mins when winning to kill games off

I’m not pinning it all on Ayew, I was responding to the people who somehow thought Ayew was an 8/10 today. He certainly wasn’t. As a striker he offered zero threat. He won a few free kicks and at times he looked after the ball BUT he offered minimal (dialled in) press. That’s not great when the other team is dominating like Bournemouth did for the majority of the 2nd half.

You think he pressed well then? Did he have a shot at goal playing as our second striker?   I just saw a player who can look after the ball but is mainly happy to win free kicks. That’s great but we aren’t very good at doing anything with free kicks. We usually win a free kick and shuffle the ball backwards with the stoppage having let the opponents reset their cover.

He wasn’t playing as a striker or winger today he was playing as a number 10 to hold the ball up bring other players in to play and win free kicks to break up play I think he did his job well.

I really like him in the side.

He drops deep, is good on the ball although not spectacular.

I just feel his physicality is a proper weapon but he's quite creative at the same time.

I can see why Cooper picks him in the side even against inferior opposition.

there's an Okazaki vibe to having him behind Vardy letting Bounonotte play the Mahrez role wider, full of graft presses well, holds the ball up well and buys free kicks

I thought he was alright today

But I still don’t think he should be starting, and definitely not playing nearly a full 90

He would’ve been the perfect player to bring on today after 60 minutes when we needed to take some pressure off and keep the ball up the pitch for a bit

was crying out for McAteer on the bench instead of Soumare today

Thought he was dreadful.

All he does is fall over. Offers absolutely nothing in terms of assists and goals. He’s a proper shit club player. I don’t ever want to see him in a Leicester shirt again.

How Soumare gets on the bench let alone actually on the pitch today, especially at a time when we needed players on the pitch who will actually put some effort is baffling

This.

The praise in here for his performance today is absolutely baffling.

Just a waste of a position.

I don't get it myself. The guy is that baller with fuvk all talent.  Plays the safe ball. Get the odd decision.  He's  fuvking crap and if this is what  we now think is a good signing god help us.

yea not sure we needed another DM option there with Riccy and Winks who can both play there but maybe there's an injury with Kasey, think if El Khannouss was more up to speed he would have come on but he's looked quite lightweight so far but its very early days for him

Isn’t a number 10 expected to create and have chances then? I’ve always thought that’s exactly what they should be doing-particularly at home, particularly against a team like The Cherries.

I didn’t realise that the main aim of the number 10 was to win free kicks in non dangerous positions. If that’s what a number 10 does now then yeh well done Jordan!! 👍🏻

I don't like him personally but that is the definition of a Premier league player,.does the hard work, holds it up. Wins freekicks etc. I'd rather play fatawu but he's not doing a bad job

Okazaki pressed and pressed, defended from the front and ran himself into the ground. Ayew does not press.

yes he does, but you've clearly decided Ayew can't have a good game for us, probably just as another stick to beat the manager with, its pathetic.

Still I guess there has to be at least 1 player getting undue stick at all times on here
