I made it my mission pre match yesterday to find a Ghanaian fan wearing a shirt with Ayew on the back yesterday, you’ll be pleased to hear that I saw

more England shirts with Vardy on the back… 1-0.

I’ll say again, and I dunno why because I’m trying to convince a fan base that clearly doesn’t want to be convinced.

The people who signed Jordan Ayew, and the people who failed to get the best out of Jordan Ayew when he was here, because as limited as he is he had a remit tonight and he went out and did it, are the real problem.

And that goes for every one from Daka to Winks Soumare Danny Ward the list goes on.

What is the best of Jordan Ayew? He scored at roughly the same rate for us as he has in the rest of his club career. So in many ways he did what he usually does, which isn't very much.

I mean don’t put words in my mouth I have not said he’s a wonderful striker and my post clearly lists signing him in the first place as the main mistake.

He’s never been prolific but he can put himself around a be a pain the arse at least, like he did last night.

I wouldn’t say he’s done that for us I’d say he’s been considerably less effective for us than every other club he’s been at. Which is some effort as you’ve pointed out,  Like a lot of the players we sign, because as good/bad effective any of them are there is no indentity or footballing plan in our approach to building a squad and a effective manager to implement that approach.

And the commentator said 'Ayew is going to be exhausted at the end of this', as he was jogging around the pitch at 1/2 the speed of everyone else.

full on sprint for him that though
