I hope that whoever is in charge next season doesn’t drop the ball with Monga and other academy players.

If more expensive dross like Reid and Ayew get signed to stunt their progression, then we deserve everything that happens to us as a club.

Over rated.

Prefer BDR.

Heard he’s not even showing up to training 4 days a week, slacker

What does he actually say? Listened a few times but cannot work it out.

From what I could work out, I don’t think Monga ever said he was staying.

Just one of his mates said “JM is staying at Leicester, I know he is” and something about being our future captain.

Could very much just be taking the piss. I’m not sure I’m going to read too much into it unless someone more reputable says something.

I don’t think they’ve done it on purpose, but the Club have actually put him in a bit of a predicament.

At his age, being snapped up by Man City (or any other big team) as a potential gem from Leicester’s youth academy, really wouldn’t raise any eyebrows and wouldn’t really come with any pressure at all.

By having him on the bench for the cup, then drip feeding some minutes in a dying campaign, we’ve given him national exposure.  This now makes it a little more politically difficult for :-

a) Teams who already have a bit of a spotlight on them for the wrong reasons to be seen to be taking advantage of the system even more than they do.

b) A young kid who’s been brought through the ranks and given an opportunity, to **** off at the first whiff of  glory without looking like a rat leaving a sinking ship.

We might accidentally have made him

think of staying another year.

Get Nick de Marco on the case, he’ll have that verbal agreement tied into a 10yr contract with a £1bn release before we’re all back at work tomorrow!

As if any of them give a flying fxxk.

And why would they?

If Bilal is sold then would make sense to try Monga there for next season.

I have severe doubts that any club will want Bilal for the amount we'll be asking for him.

2 goals and 3 assists are not good stats for a player with over 2000 minutes in the Premier League, he's only one year into his contract and we overvalue players as it is.

So Bilal as starter, Monga as rotation, with Alves as backup for the wings and the 10 feels pretty good.

He may have a favourable release clause.

Who's trust?

Alves - and any other academy player looking at what happened as an example of what they might expect themselves in terms of words versus actions taken by the club.

If he stays and wants to be a number 10, that’s great as we do seem more stocked in the wider areas.

R - Fatawu / Evans

C - Bilal / Monga

L - Mavididi / Alves

Obviously there are questions over the futures of Monga, Evans and Bilal but imagine that 6 as our options!

Knowing our luck

That will actually be BCDR, Skipp and Ayew

From an advisor point of view, he could be injured at any time. Take the most lucrative offer on the table

Down with this sort of thing!

Any source which proves your point?

Genuinely if he, Evans and the other really talented youngsters he's been giving bench time and minutes to stay and become genuine options for us over the next few seasons, that could be bigger than surviving the drop would have been this season and could set us up for future success and get our finances back on track either by selling a few of these lads for big sums down the line or if they stay here and propel us towards our next period of success.

Maybe that could be RVN's legacy at this club.
