Not gonna lie, that's baffled me a bit.

It's more than baffled me. This is a player at a good age, who has scored and performed in the Champions League and Europa League and whilst has progressed abroad will know what is required to succeed in England.

 

Yes he's lost his way but that's why he's available to muck like us and Burnley and yet it doesn't look like we've been in for him.

 

We deserve everything that's coming to us. Disgrace of a club.

Have we ever signed a player from abroad in a day that we'd not previously been linked to? Soyuncu I think we'd found out the day before and possibly Dragovic happened quickly but if there's not a reputable link tonight I just don't see anything happening.

Felt like we'd been linked in the days leading up to that, I know we'd tried to get him the summer before when we got Slimani but it fizzled out.

I think we were linked the season before but (and my memory isn’t great) if I remember rightly the actual rumour that he was in talks came on the morning of the deadline. I think most thought because there hadn’t been movement, Drinkwater was staying. 
 

It’s even more ridiculous with Albrighton’s podcast recently where he said Drinkwater demanded a meeting with Rudkin weeks before the deadline as there was no movement. So we knew a player had interest, wanted out and signed a player (late) who we had interest previously

Just what is the recruitment team doing?

Whats happened to us, we not even looking in the developing markets. Rudkin needs to go, but the recruitment team need to go as well.

I have to wonder if this is those at board level accepting the inevitable relegation or being so out of touch that they genuinely believe this squad has enough to stay up, also RVN consistently selecting the same old culprits that have let this club down for seasons now is a message to the board that we don’t have enough and is placing his own reputation above results, his post and pre match drivel is becoming hard to listen too as well. Tough times

I wonder if him signing for Wasserman killed it? Perhaps we really have burned all bridges with Morris?
