You know more about this than I do; are this French team really bucking the trend for being mercurial then?

I'd say France have been pretty consistently superb since Galthie and Edwards took charge to be honest.

They've just had to contend with Ireland also being absolutely phenomenal.

Today it went France's way pretty convincingly but you play that game 10 more times and they probably share a similar number of wins each.

Behave lol

Literally cannot compare them, Spurs have been favourites many times over the years to at least win a league cup and get multiple opportunitys

realistically how many trophies can Scotland actually compete for over a 12 month period?

True although after the last rounds some on the BBC had you winning this

Behave.

Nobody with any brain would have called us anything other than huge under dogs for this.

It was winnable in the way any game in this tournament is winnable but we'd have to have played out of our skin, got a bit of lucky and Scotland would have to have been dog.

Fair point .

It was probably more hope and blind faith .

All banter aside, I'd say comparing Spurs to Scotland is pretty spot on but only if you're honest enough to admit that Spurs aren't so much bottlers, they're just smaller fry than Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea and them not winning much isn't a shock.

They get loads of stick but they're, at best, the third or fourth best team and there's just always better teams around.

Despite that, they're always talked up as being in the elite group, always talked up as potential winners and dark horses for no actual good reason.

Both teams are media darlings that are popular with neutrals because they usually play entertaining football/rugby and have a few elite attackers and on their day can really turn on the style.

Both sets of fans also have a habit of turning on the coaches because they've started to believe the hype and the coaches of both constantly have to contend with unreasonably high expectation to push on and win things despite the fact they're competing against sides with more resources, more pedigree and usually just straight up more actual quality.

Scotland are absolutely the Spurs of rugby.

Disagree

I bet regularly (unfortunately) and numerous times over the years Tottenham at some point of the competition have been favourites to win it.

When have Scotland in that same time ever been odds on to win a World Cup/Six Nations?

How did you get that in colour?

Sure I remember watching that in black and white

Did prison not upgrade their tvs from black in white in 2003?

The pelters we are getting from the rugby world so how far we've come in recent years compared to the patronising 'at least you tried' pat on the head.

I've never really bought into Irish arrogance. We know were shit in the 90s and will know we'll be shit again at some point so I dont think Irish fans are arrogant as such, we've just been enjoying the ride and happy to be at the top table until it's over, which is probably going to arrive sooner rather than later.

When Dupont when off I thought there was a bit of an overreaction from comms as if they were going to be playing with 14 men. Lucu's a very good player and was brilliant, his kicking game was on point and got rid of any rare pressure we had on them in the second half.

"Pelters" is a bit chip on the shoulder, think that's a tad over the top.

Problem with Ireland fans is just a very specific type of fan that's unfortunately the most vocal on social media. The D4 head, smug Leinster cvnts that have gotten increasingly insufferable over the last decade.

The majority of the rugby world know they don't represent the whole Irish fan base but they are really ****ing annoying and arrogant is the right word.

They don't represent the entire Leinster fanbase (though it often feels like it) let alone Munster, Ulster and Connacht.
