Sadly we're in a place where we're damned if we do, damned if we don't.

The 11 today with Ndidi and Okoli today was so much more solid looking, but you lose any ability to progress the ball consistently, and your main hope is to rely on making the most of counter attacks. But we're countering with dad's army.

Then if you play Vestergaard and Winks, we can enjoy more fruitful spells in possession and look to sustain pressure more, but we're so much more vulnerable defensively.

Whichever one of those you choose, we've failed to recruit well enough to play either one of those styles well enough to be a successful side.

There was nothing wrong with the defensive and we probably improved with Woyo coming in, Soumare and Ndidi protected and filled in well.

The problem is the attack, Winks and Vesterguard will not improve anything... Facundo, Daka, Mcateer could add something different.

Also bringing in Thomas for Kristenten wouldn't be a bad idea, Kristensen done well until Mav came on.

I thought Vardy actually did OK with his back to goal today but the two moments when he had space with the ball and lacked any sort of conviction on what to do were concerning.

Can't really fault the effort, or even how we were defensively set up.

We simply don't have the quality to compete against the better sides in this league, and the minute we drop off we get hammered by any opponent (Everton, wolves defeats being prime example)

There goal comes from Mav trying to take on there defence when a pass was on to Kristensen then there both out of postion, they never work well together.

Mav has all of the skill and zero brain cells

Shame about the collapse at the end, but until then I thought it was the best defensive display for a while.

Except they didn`t seem to realise Merino was on the pitch nobody was even close to him foe either goal and several times before that, clueless after the changes, good before that

We seem to have started thinking if a player has a good game or even a good half ... they are all of a sudden decent or excellent ... we are where we are because of total lack of quality and no consistency all over the pitch

Thomas would work better with him imo,

Vk and mav clash because both want that wide channel

As long as he keeps trying to take on 4 defenders it doesn`t matter who plays with him because they will never see the ball

Hes got to start now going forward. He was brilliant today.

Yeah, I think he will start, as Justin might struggle to reach full pace wearing his Robocop boot.

Might improve his touch, mind.

No arguments we have got worse

No home goals in 7.5 hours and 5 consecutive losses.

66 year old record

9 defeats out of 10

“But Cooper had Mads and Ndidi”

Give Brian Murphy a chance and sack him

No arguments, Cooper is in the past and gone, but his recruitment, panicked recruitment of Skipp and Eduard has contributed massively to our mess.

Shame as I felt we deserved a point. We've no quality going forward however and you always worry about us conceding.

you mean when we decided to gamble and attack? yea, that does tend to leave you open. Ayew was better than he has been granted, but he still offers nothing

In fairness to Ayew he created our best chance of the game. He was a constant outlet today out wide. Held the ball well and was good at winning the ball back. Was it necessary to take a "gamble" at nil nil?

I thought BDR should have been taken off for Mavididi.

Did I expect to win? No.

But f**k ME we make it so much more disappointing than necessary. Clung on for so long to end it like that. Glad that so many talked with their feet after the second - I’m not wasting my time in traffic any more for shit like this.

I’ll be criticised by some around me for not being the most dedicated fan in the world. The same who said protesting today was a waste of time and wouldn’t make a difference.

We’re doomed.

Good effort, occasional flashes of good play, it looks like we have more direction than under Cooper, but we need more oomph up front and we are probably still heading down.

It's worse because there was actually a bit of hope starting to emerge before they scored.

We are miles worse than under Cooper. No way he would be as dreadful as Ruuds in game management. Reid should of been off after 60 mins

The subs killed us, and I didn’t think that would be the case.
