Found out today two teams turning up with ex LCFC professionals in their ranks.

That's brilliant for the event. Not so much our team lol

Might be too late to get Hayles himself on board..

Heard one of them is Conrad Logan. Will he be bringing his own bench to sit on all day?

Two of the biggest LCFC fan tournaments took place yesterday. The 20 team 6 a side UFS one at Kirby and an anti knife 11 a side one at Holmes Park.

I really thought LCFC would send out their community teams to be at both, some easy PR for them really.

Did they send them to any?

Not to UFS and from videos and pictures I've seen at the other they didn’t.

Just a poor show, the club passes up on such easy wins

Often think as a supporter base we really lack events and celebrations of our history, a real empty void of supporter culture being missed.

UFS are a beacon with events such as this standing out

Champions anniversary day or something like that would be class

Fantastic to have a day that stands completely isolated from the ups and downs of the football clubs itself.

Going from strength to strength in that regard, a huge effort from the group and great to see that it's been well received and raised a good amount of money yet again.

Was a really enjoyable and well organised day, I entered a  team of young lads who did really well to reach the main final, which brings me to my only small gripe, they lost the final 1v0 to an extremely contentious penalty for making a defensive challenge the wrong side of  a non existent line, not a foul but a technicality ! the kids were gutted to A, receive nothing for being runners up and B be robbed of a chance to have a penalty shoot out against Conrad :-(

well done UFS on a brilliant day and for giving up their time for a fantastic cause :-)

It was a charity football tournament and everyone involved was a volunteer.

There should be no gripes. Whether you won it or lost it, there are a million more important things in life. Even getting a trophy as the winners is more than enough, never mind anything for runners up.

There was a guy in one of our games swearing at the ref and telling him he’d been bad every game he’d referee’d. There wouldn’t be a tournament without that ref giving up his time.

If you get genuinely bothered or upset about any kind of amateur football, your priorities are wildly out of kilter.

Good grief buddy, what an unreasonable, nasty and unwarranted response. none of our group gave any officials any problems at all and I was full of praise for all concerned, my point was a fair and measured one and contained no malice whatsoever. will certainly think twice before entering again though  !

Ashley Chambers was down the Horse and Groom, Rearsby on Saturday, him along with Conrad have become regulars recently. Maybe I can have a word and see if they can put a side together next time, however if they lose it might not be great look for them 😎
