Rubbersoul Posted 13 January Posted 13 January Alves started well. Seeing a lot of the ball. Just had a big chance inside the box and really should’ve done better 1
Rubbersoul Posted 13 January Posted 13 January I thought that was in! He is playing so well here. Not sure what sort of team Rotherham have out, they look poor. He manages to find space so easily too. Retains the ball well also 2

Rubbersoul Posted 13 January Posted 13 January Subbed off after an hour. Very good showing. Desperately hope he can have a good run of games without injury. 3
Rubbersoul Posted 13 January Posted 13 January Apparently he went down before being subbed off. Must’ve missed that. Don’t think it was anything serious 1

Aleksz Posted 13 January Posted 13 January Didn’t quite agree with @Ric Flair months back when he said Alves’ future was out wide, but I definitely see the vision looking at those clips. Grealish lite. 1

Whilst he has skill, it is better suited with more space out wide. Even if he isn't rapid, he is a superb crosser of the ball as well so he's much more dangerous at LW.
