Think you’ve missed my point there. If anything I’m saying the same. Silko was genuinely crap for Wigan and is now starting for a championship side after basically never showing anything 1

Rubbersoul Posted 10 January Posted 10 January Just now, JimJams said: Yeah I've took that the wrong way to be honest. I didn’t get my point across well I don’t think. What I meant was Alves has actually had better loans than Silko in a division above, but it’s Silko who’s in the first team now. I have no problem with Thomas getting these chances

Rubbersoul Posted 10 January Posted 10 January Huddersfield lose it in the last second. Their fans hate Grant
honeybradger Posted 10 January Posted 10 January "maybe Alves isnt very good" maybe it's the managers that dont play him that arent very good. When he plays he tends to impress. 2
Rubbersoul Posted 10 January Posted 10 January He absolutely rinsed their RB at one point He seemed to be playing centrally and was roaming everywhere 3
JimJams Posted 10 January Posted 10 January Hopefully Alves is just having his minutes managed after his return from injury rather than it being a lack of belief from the manager. 2

Ric Flair Posted 10 January Posted 10 January Alves for two thirds of his time at Cardiff last season was actually very good, at the level we are playing currently. I watched a lot of their games and he was usually better off thr bench where he had a few games he changed the game with his assists. 1

Big_Nige Posted 10 January Posted 10 January I really hope Alves stays fit for the second half of the season and really kicks on. He had the talent, just needs a run of games
Rubbersoul Posted 10 January Posted 10 January Watching Falkirk. Cartwright started the move for the first goal. Played a nice pass forward. Not really sure what’ll happen with him but he’s a proper battler in the midfield

Pretty good on the ball too. He’s played as a 10 & deeper so far this season. Cartwright is in the same mould as James I think would be a fair comparison just not as good obviously 1
ParkerPen Posted 10 January Posted 10 January if we had any sense as a club (!) we'd be trying maximise our academy players, even if we know perhaps there not good enough to play for our first XI, work to maximise their resale value. KDH only got in by accident I am convinced (totally deserved it on talent - I mean there was no obvious plan) Instead we bizarrely do the most not to give any of these guys from the academy a chance, look at Nelson FFS. good chance he doesnt sign a new contract now. ****ing divs in charge. 1
