Must admit I’m finding it difficult to stay interested now with the game in general, not sure if it’s age thing, but most matches are poor and the atmosphere worse.

The powers that be have slowly killed the game, VAR, cup replays for small teams, ticket prices and revamped European formats. I don’t necessarily think the atmosphere at Leicester is better anywhere else than maybe Palace who seem to have nailed it. Everywhere you go it seems to be the same flat experience.

To read threads like this, it leads me to think more and more that modern day fanbases aren't that different after all. I would still argue though that we're at the worst end of the scale (home and away numbers aside).

I honestly don’t think hardly anything in England is much cop now.

Leeds on a big game, Man United’s away support but even thats on the decline. Palace were impressive at Wembley.

When people say oh it’s rubbish in the Premier League but lower leagues are good I just don’t really see those league being much different to the top.

It’s a blessing and curse following football abroad as it shows you what you thought was good support really is just kids level in comparison.

That ‘we love you’ chant needs to go. Good in the Ranieri days, but very generic and small-time otherwise.

Left side right side is far more ‘small time’.

Left side right side and we’ve got the ball are the utter pits.. when we love you gets going with welly it sounds decent

Good second half i thought.   I dont think the split between the tiers helps.

Good home support for Swansea, got to say.  Fair play

I thought both theirs and ours was garbage today lol

Decent once Fatawu's screamer went in, but before that it was 70-odd mins of murmurs and 20 second pockets of chanting otherwise. We are not beating the 'only sing when you're winning ' allegations.

Nor are Swansea - about the only thing I remember them singing is Carnival de Paris every ten minutes or so, which confused the hell out of me as my brain associates it with scoring a goal, not random breaks in play :D piped up all of a sudden after their joke of a penalty but otherwise very poor.

Glad Jordan James got some appreciation but don't think his worldie being down the other end helped, that would have been limbs down our end most days.

The huge banks of empty seats are an omen for where we'll be at if we stagnate in the second tier.

That was one of the worst chants last season for sure.

They'll fook off if we stay down

Looking very likely at the minute. A few thousand empty seats tonight in the family and West stands that no doubt weren't factored into the 'official' attendance'. I've got a hoarse voice but then I've driven a hundred miles to watch that and had a skinful, I'm still gonna sing.  No fooker else on my row bothered after the first 20 mins.

It's up to the remainder whether they give a fook this time next season when we're drawing at home to Huddersfield and Bolton.

The 'safe standing in name only' has done nothing for it by the way, honestly forgot i was in it for most of the game until i leaned forward in despair from a misplaced Choudhury clearance and hit a bar

Really surprised by the comments.. I actually weirdly thought in the section front half we done ok tonight. One of the better ones of the season. We can’t hear any other parts of the ground anyways even on a good day.. but well done ufs who once again keep going.. :worship:

You surely can't be surprised by now that people who still voluntarily stay away from the one area of the ground where they know for sure there's a group of lads going for it all game are moaning about how poor the atmosphere was?

I can hear the section fairly well, thought tonight was the worst it’s been all season.

:jawdrop: Seriously? Apart from the Birmingham game which I missed, which one was better than tonight?

Nothing from us as usual at home matches, prefer the aways now days.

We are just a bunch of willy pullers as a support base.

May as well bring the pillows and goto sleep.

Rancid.

Even if you try and sing no one around you bothered, are too busy on their phones or day dreaming.

The games gone for us .

Like someone above said all this safe standing bollox has literally done nothing for the atmosphere.

Pompey were decent and great following for a Sat night game👍🏾

It is so so bad. I had a spare ticket and I couldn’t give it away. The whole club is stale and people have lost interest.

There was a brief moment when the lads at the front of SK1 were trying to get the new Jordan James chant going. People in the singing section almost decided to have fun and go with it, before quickly remembering they support Leicester and must stand in aloof silence.
