Piss poor imo.

Some bloke told me to “shut the **** up” after singing Marti sort it out when we gave away the penalty.

He was one of many sitting down.

Home atmosphere was awful and the noise they did generate was clearly fake, evidenced by the time they started playing annoying sounds over the tannoy.

On the other hand, I thought the boat trip was great 👍

Sorry, but this is one of the stupidest post I have ever read on a football forum. And there is a lot of competition.

You genuinely think Millwall play a tape or crowd noise over the PA system?! Some bloke sits in a box and decides when to push the button?!

I think the issue here is that we don’t have many chants, as we never sing generic songs like most fanbases. All our songs are Millwall centric. Eg no one likes us; let ‘em come; Millwall to various tunes and of course the ‘Miiiiillll’ monk chant.

It is the monk chant I think you are referring to as ‘being fake’. It is very droning and loud, so may sound like it must be coming through speakers on all sides. But it isn’t fake!

And the other sound you did hear was the emergency siren. The fact ‘Mr Den’ was mentioned (a code for the commanding police officer) indicts some kind of incident had occurred somewhere.

I thought Leicester fans were pretty good until the team went 1-0. Then they seemed to loose all heart, much like the team!

If I’m not mistaken, there were two moments in the game where an echoe noise was played through the speaker and both times it coincided with this “monk chant”.

It could’ve been an alarm, if so, my mistake. But it didn’t sound like a traditional alarm at all.

An alarm did go off during the game at at least one point. Talksport pointed it out.

I for one, thoroughly enjoyed the 'school in the morning' to the Millwall fans for this Saturday fixture.

Millwall does bring out some right *****. Seen so many acting up, the sort who look like they'd wet the bed after watching Hocus Pocus.

The problem, which I feel the club are imminently about to discover, is that this sort of clientele are the ones who won't stick around when things get tough. They'll be desperate for the 'custom' of the ones they've alienated and pushed out soon enough.

Exactly this. It's so easy to attract foreign tourists and corporates when things are going well but give it until next season when that's all gone and things will look very 2010 again

They will, but if they manage to attract them again they'll soon want to get rid of them once the teams successful, and the circle continues.

I know I hark on sometimes about how scotland have transformed the atmosphere in their grounds but its a good way to compare because they had similiar things happening up there that we had here.

They have (for the most part) embraced the ultra groups that have formed.  They've reduced prices for the younger fans.  Enganged and talked to them.  Knowing that these younger fans are the future.

Maybe we have enough fans that they can be treated in such a dismissive way and still get good attendances.  I think we (and most english teams) do....this has been happening for 30 years and football attendances continue to grow.

I agree, but can't see us being successful again as long as the current hierarchy renains in place. Something has to give or the downward spiral will continue, and we'll continue to shed matchgoing fans.

This came from one bloke making up a chant in August.

Our fans can’t be arsed to do more than 8 words.

We sang it for Fofana 3 years ago, safe to say no one was interested outside of our 6 rows.

And they still get confused when all 8 of them are "Leicester"

Bumping for tonight, as I'm 100 miles away and can't even be arsed to watch.

Reports please!

Fully expecting big blue gaps in the poppy display for pretty much the first time ever. :nono:

(my post took two hours to approve so i'm going to be naughty and bump this again) - for those daft enough to attend, how was it? Not seen it that empty for a league game since... well, Boro in the Championship. And that was in a blizzard.

Spent 1st half in my usual spot in sk1 then found out a family member was unexpectedly in the West stand so made my way round to them for 2nd half (easy given amount of empty seats).  Whilst it was pretty tame/boring in the West stand it gave me a different perspective.  Could hear sk1 throughout the game, especially "we love you, we love you" which carried well.  But also heard L1 quite loud which i never do from sk1.

Considering fan feeling around the team at the moment and the low attendance, it didnt sound too bad to me.  Loving jordan james/dancing queen song.....that really should be big.  Everyone knows the tune and its catchy.

On a whole rather quiet tonight apart from the ufs lads who really do try to get it going.. I’ve said before that it’s usually quiet after row U for majority of the games but there is a couple of lads maybe w x or y who do well to get a few more joining in around that area so fair play to them..

Slightly embarrassing though that the loudest chant in the first half aimed at the referee.
Sending off helped the atmosphere for the last 10 mins. Even when looking down, the east stand were clearly singing along and actually looked like they were enjoying themselves for a few mins..  People have it in them. When it goes well it actually sounds decent..
