Does anyone feel like the stewarding is over the top these days...

Feels like airport security on the way in to the ground...and then bright jackets circulating pitchside with 10 minutes of the game to go...proper distracting and kills any atmosphere...

Im not one to be negative just because it seems fashionable to moan but I thought that was awful last night.  Sheff weds, Birmingham were good, cov weren't bad for a 1230 k.o. But last night it was abysmal.

Yes i know the game wasnt great but seriously if you bought a ticket in sk1 last night and were one of the many not contributing , i have to ask why you chose to go in that section of the ground.  Non singers outnumbering singers by a good proportion from what i saw.  I know i cant control what people do or whether they sing but you realise sk1 is supposed to be the singing section?  The loudest chants were directed at the ref when it seemed everyone joined in.  Thats what it should be like for most songs.

I don't claim to be a PSG style ultra and im not a fanboy but UFS must wonder why they bother sometimes when all they get in response to their efforts is a half hearted mumble from large parts of sk1.  There were a number of people around me who didn't sing a word all night, except at the ref.

Its meant to be fun in sk1.  Thats why we go in there.  Last night was embarassing.  Come on lads....and girls.  We can do much better.

My mate said similar at that Monga/Windass Ref incident. It was SO loud with everyone going at the ref, like had a moment of surprise at the amount of noise. If you had that sort of level of participation to the singing blimey it would be really kicking up some gears.

I have to absolutely agree and everything you’ve said.. ill no doubt get the “it’s the English way now” and the “atmosphere is based on performance” and no matter what I still have to sit in the middle of both of them arguments..

As with it’s the English way, it may be but that don’t mean that Leicester and the section in particular have to sit back and accept that. We all go to the games after a long day at work to let our hair down so to say. But finding that it’s becoming a real slog in looking around and seeing people looking as it they are in a routine and need to be there instead of wanting to be there. There seems to be so many excuses that are thrown around why the atmosphere is bad.. First game of the season, early kick off.. 🥱 it’s all the same but last night it was so poor.
Someone is bound to mention now the performance on pitch, granted it ain’t great but its not as if they’re losing every game..

I must have been naive in thinking safe standing would improve the mood somewhat  but it’s the complete opposite. Anything after row U is non existent (apologies if it is in which case I’ll blame the acoustics) but it’s the same every game. The lads really do try but to no avail. If there was one fixture I thought there may have been an alright atmosphere it was last night especially in the first half as they dominated and played ok.. but as per it was pretty lacklustre..

I would say to the lads down the front.. if you are to try a new player chant then perhaps post it beforehand on here for the people who look in the songs thread as it may gain a bit more traction. Jordan James lyrics to dancing queen lol

I think It’s a real shame.. we wanted safe standing, we’ve got safe standing, there is

new blood in the section but sadly it don’t look to be any better. Singing section sells before most other sections yet people don’t want to sing and don’t want to create anything.. I can’t fathom It..

And lastly don’t get me started on the fire drill evacuation on 80 mins when everyone was pouring out.. utterly embarrassing!!!!! Especially with the attendance being lower than usual

The amount of early leavers we have is unreal. The majority do it every single game as well.

We also have thousands who walk in right on kick-off, not 5-10 mins before but during WYS and after kick off. Utterly bizzare.

One of the stewards told me that at the point of kick off there wasn’t even 21,000 through the turnstiles last night.

The one positive I took from that was it was a breeze getting out of Leicester, for my 70 mile angry drive home.

Got to my car in the Saffron Lane ,bus lane and hardly any cars near me,I left a few minutes after FT,I wasn’t daudling either.

Home at 11-25,usually 12.

Yeah fair, it did come about about an hour before the game so no real time. Im told it has had 22k views on tik tok after a video was posted last night after the game.

I thought at the light show stuff we would be on for a sub 25k gate as it was so sparse.

It did however by a few minutes in feel and look mainly just as full as it usually is. Like you said a lot coming in as late as poss.

TO be fair, for many like myself, it's rush to go work - dinner - footy. Throw in the digital ticketing which is slower getting people through.

But if you have it on your phone screen why you are 30 people deep outside, how is it slower? It’s no different from scanning a paper ticket

Perfectly fine with me - but loads are confused by it outside the turnstile last night. Particularly those who are sharing a phone take longer.

I did think this last night. The queues are baffling. Was very against mobile tickets, and would still much prefer a physical card of course, but it’s been no slower at scanning through since being implemented.

It’s mad seeing people struggle so much with them 4 home games into the season.

It’s baffling how there needs to be a stadium announcement explaining how to scan in if there is more than one ticket on a device.. how do some individuals cope in life lol

29,357 was the official attendance last night. Not bad all things considered.

Im surprised they got that,  it looked a lot less on TV and as the season goes on I think it will drop considerably

That will be ALL ST holders etc regardless of if they turned up or not.

NO WAY was that over 27k

Have to say I have a little smirk when I see managers and players applauding the fans when theres barely anyone left.  This happens even in big games like Chelsea winning in the Champions league, players walking around applauding half empty stands.

In europe they often go to the ultras that stay and sing after the final whistle, with so many foreign managers I guess its what they've always done.

Must be a bit weird for them to see people streaming out even before the end.

Not a chance that was the actual attendance.

I was one of them, but never usually am. Traffic was ridiculous coming into the city from LFE/Enderby on Tues night.

It definitely felt a lot fuller than I expected.
