Nomination submission for the upcoming Trust elections will open this Monday (24th November) which means any new joiners to the Trust after this date will not be able to vote in the elections.

If you want to show your support for us, you have the weekend to join and do so.

We still believe the Trust has work to do to be representative of all supporters. Recent progress has been welcome, but there are many on the board who oversaw the Trust getting to the point that it was ineffective. They will only hold back progress of the Trust in future but we expect them to want to cling on to their seats (as shown by their recommendation against a rule change that would have seen more accountability for board members earlier this year and their resistance to involvement from those in our campaign when we first started this movement).

Board members from our campaign have showed in a short space of time that a few individuals with the desire for things to be better, and the willingness to do some hard work, progress can be made. Many of the legacy board members were noticeably absent on the team that delivered an impressive end of season survey.

There is an opportunity in front of us to get more change-minded people on the board.

Whilst hearing from Top was a welcome development, and it was nice to hear he wants to communicate more, where has his leadership been as the club has signed up a front-of-shirt sponsor? Forced digital tickets on the fanbase? Set up a Fan Advisory Board comprised of largely club-picked individuals? Refused to communicate? Built a squad of overplayed and underperforming players? Broken financial rules?

There is still so much that is not right and the Trust will need to challenge and push the club to achieve change. We seek to reform the Trust so join to make this change a reality.

We have been told that Ian Bason (current Treasurer who chaired the Trust for many years), Vice Chairman, Matt Davis, and Membership Secretary, Sarah Hubbard, are all up for re-election. We hope to have our candidates win places on board in their place.

When will we know the names of those from FT reform up for election?

“Set up a Fan Advisory Board comprised of largely club-pickedindividuals?”

The Foxes Trust agreed a process to ensure the club could NOT hand pick the fan representatives which has happened at some other clubs. The 6 fan reps were allocated as follows:

1 place for the Foxes Trust, chosen by the Foxes Trust Board

2 places elected by fans on the previous Fan Consultative Committee (those who obtained the most votes happened to be on the FCC representing other fan groups, but are not officially representing those groups on the FAB, only the Trust is directly represented)

3 places from an application & interview process. The short listing for interviews was carried out by club & trust representatives. The interview panel consisted of club, trust and Football Supporters Association representatives. Therefore if a candidate did not have the support of the trust & FSA, they would not be appointed. The interview panel had detailed discussions before agreeing the 3 people selected.

Therefore none of the fan representatives were club hand picked

The previous Fan Consultative Committee included 2 places for each fans group, who those groups chose to represent them at the meetings was completely the choice of the individual fan groups. For the elections to the FCC any fan group representative who had attended the FCC could have put them self forwards, so we’re not club selected

The rest of the previous FCC applied to be on it & yes the club only selected (with the aim of different parts of the stadium & demographics being represented). This was why the Trust ensured the club alone could not select for the FAB (as previously described)

Included in the “select group of fans” on the previous FCC was one of the current Foxes Trust board members who stood as part of Foxes Trust Reform at the previous election.

In terms of TIFO’s, Union FS do not have to run designs via the FEF, they just talk to the club as previously, the only involvement is when full stand displays are requested, not in terms of the actual design, but that a larger set of fans need to take part, the aim is to have wider consultation to determine the majority involved want to take part (so evaluate if the complaints received by the club represent more widely held views or a small minority)

For anyone wondering whether or not to support our campaign, have a read of the above.

Does it sound like a Trust taking a critical and objective view of fan engagement? Or one as we have said since day one of our campaign “too timid, too cosy, too tired”?

Join our campaign and let’s get the Trust where we need it to be. Just over 24 hours left to sign up and be part of the election voting.

The Foxes Trust board welcomes all new members, both those seeking change and those believing a Trust should take every opportunity to talk to the club at all levels and not turn into just being a protest group.

But when the club does not listen to reasonable suggestions then what do you suggest the response should be?

As for welcoming new members when have you ever pursued that and the £10/yr membership is totally unjustified considering you've hardly used any of it to benefit the members.

As an early member of the FT I could see nothing happening to warrant me to continue to renew.

I haven’t been involved with FT Reform, but I will be standing for election.

I’m currently part of the Comms working group within the Trust, working to improve communication and engagement. Hopefully everyone has noticed some improvement in that regard recently.

However, it’s clear to me that changes at the Trust are required — and fast. There is still significant resistance and friction at board level toward changes that would help the Trust modernise and adapt to the situation the club currently finds itself in. I would also like to see the Trust hold the club to account more visibly and more directly when it is required.

I urge everyone to join the Trust this weekend so that you can have your say. JOIN HERE.

As a current board member who has been chairing this subgroup of the Trust, I just wanted to say that @Ricey has been such a great addition to our team. He’s already had a huge impact and we need more people like him helping us to push the Trust on.

I hope people do sign up and have their say in the upcoming elections and I hope more people step forward to help out.

Everyone in the Fcc is club appointed...  the club pretends that the FCC is a democratic path to the FAB.

The current FAB is an echo chamber to make the club feel safe while appearing to engage with fans.  Yet they are engaging with their own loyalists.

A wise club would be curious to reach out and build an understanding with those who question their behavior.... they might find it an enlightening path that makes them better.   Do they dare?

10 seats occupied by 10 STHs on our row from the steps to the barrier of the next block. 3/10 were there yesterday. A guy, my buddy and I. We agreed this has never happened, even last season, just 3 on the row. At 0-3 Sheffield the guy shook my hand and said ‘It’s too much for my heart this’ and left.

7/10 STHs on 1 row don’t show for the game or resell/transfer their ticket and “Fan Engagement Team” might automated-email them. I called 2 I know and 1 said he’s never felt so unattached and that he’s going to Derby away in the hope the fans sing their anger more than caring about the result. The other said that he was going as much as the person running the club goes.

I pray the fans who do not go gentle at the dying get on the board.

Simon from our campaign appeared on the latest edition of the Big Strong Leicester Boys podcast (from 47:00 onwards) to talk about our campaign and the upcoming elections.

The Trust have today also published details on the upcoming elections here.

As expected, Ian Bason, Matt Davis and Sarah Hubbard are up for re-election. We support none of them in continuing and will put forward 4 candidates to replace them and take the other open space on the board.

Very late to the party here but baffled that the Trust can put this out as a good thing. Heads out of the sand lads.

Does the fan base have any consultation on the activities of any other fan group? No.

Does the football club consult with fans on any of their agency tifos they pay for? No.

Have the club added an additional step to an approval process that often already takes nearly 2 months? Yes.

Will the creativity and regularity of fan made and funded tifos now be limited? Yes.

The fact the club have fans tied up to NDA’s is not on.

Compare it to something like this

It wouldnt surprise me if he wasnt under NDA and just wants to sound important.

Hear he is having some fun opinions about the reform movement.
