We used to be in league one you know

Don’t, I often get you don’t know how lucky you are you didn’t have to watch us 40 years ago.

Presumably as @Izzy posted earlier at least we actually tried then unlike now.

My brain hurts, my dads come back from the pub saying we played well and I’ve just had a blazing argument with him and he tells me I talk out my arse lol.

I can’t understand people.

Your dad’s pissed, give him a pint of water and a bucket by his bed

Genuinely think that if sea grave set on fire, the tea lady’s would get out the building quicker than our players. Useless, lazy and dumb to boot.

It was pathetic, but even more pathetic from the dickhead behind me that decided it was acceptable to shout "coon" at their keeper.

Honestly what has happened to us? (I mean that as a fanbase)

Spot on. Players like Coatsworth epitomise that period for me. They were very limited but as you say they always tried their best and worked hard. I'm not seeing that right now.

Feel for the younger players who have poor role models to look up to and respect.

I feel for the young lads getting absolutely demoralised, being ask every game to get the team out of the Sh@t with 10-15 mins to go..

We all know ideally you eould bring a 17yr old on if we were comfortable.. but to constantly do this to them, wont fo them any favours.

Mate, we were fvcking awful 40+ years ago. Attendances of 15k, crap pitches, no money, and a million miles off the big time.

But we sang every players name and one thing you could guarantee was workrate and effort. Apart from the odd player like Steve Lynex, the skill level was poor but they never shirked a tackle and left it all out there on the pitch. That's all we asked for really.

And most of them were paid fvck all but played for the love of the game and realised how lucky they were.

Don't get me started on modern day footballers. And I know I'm a rose tinted dinosaur.

I'm with you mate and know exactly your point.

But this team isn't fit to lace the boots of some of the players we had in the early 80s teams. Lineker, Lynex, Smith, Wallington, Wilson, MacDonald, May, just to name a few. And like you say even the average ones put a proper shift in.

Although I wasn’t around then. I also have a very old fashioned view of football. Football today is an absolute shambles.

Every game is just the same in this league. It’s woeful. We play crap teams all the time and they just out battle us and outwork us every single time.

The irony is they didn't need to even do that. They were just as shite, taking advantage of a Jacob (aka Danny) bodge meaning they fluked a goal.

There's every chance this will be the first season since 81/82 that I don't go to a home game.

Despite paying for my membership every year, I just can't muster up the energy anymore for a 150 mile, seven hour round trip.

I feel guilty and sad about it all but when it stops being fun and exciting, what's the point?

This isn't the same club I grew up watching and adoring. We've lost our soul and we've lost our identity.

Im quite lucky I go to the odd game and somehow we tend to win but I have the same feelings. I’m the opposite of a glory supporter, went more when we were shit haha.

It really is sad at the moment, I go the odd away game if my mate gets me a ticket but more for the day out and a drinking session.

Looking forward to going Birmingham for those said reasons but I’m not looking forward to the actual match

Agree.

The damage has already been done, this season it all comes to a head.

There’s no reset coming…. There’s no spending a couple of years at this level to “get it right”‘there’s nothing to be right, Top hasn’t got the cash, and he can’t rely on KP anymore to bail him out.

When you get these fools of things like Leicester fan tv, saying “I want Top to sort it out” I don’t think they actually realise the mess we are in, I don’t think some fans realise how deep this issue is.

I can’t recall many times in history that even cash strapped clubs have done no business in their transfer windows…. Surely that alone pants a picture.

In short, we are ****ed, how ****ed remains to be seen, following the points deduction…. But there’s no rebuild coming, just further erosion.

The fact your current manager has to pay half of his own buy out cluase from his former club is all you should need to know

Going to the football with your mates on the piss is what it's all about. The result is almost irrelevant, it's about being with your tribe and having a great day out.

Enjoy your salad days Chris. You'll be old and cynical before you know it.

I think a lot of us on this forum have longer runs without clean sheets and its definitely not from watching our team play.

I have never felt this "sad" as a city fan.  Even after getting relegated to league one, there was still passion. I feel like quiting this team at times. No connection to the ownership, management nor players. None of them seem to give a fuk about our club. No fight , no passion.  So frustrated and angry.  I dont expect trophies every year or to be in the EPL. I just expect people to care , try, have some passion.

Cvnts.

In the last few years we seem to be breaking sll the wrong type of records and stats

That is the first time I think I’ve not celebrated a meaningful goal.

Neither did the players lol

That's how apathetic they have become. Score a 90th min equaliser and usually they go a bit crazy. None of them seemed remotely happy we'd scored.

Of course the players are at fault BUT defending is about organisation and structures.

Thats down to the manager TOTALLY.

You'll always have people with different views at football and that's fine. I don't agree with much of it, but it's football and so long as it causes no harm them so be it.

In all my time following Leicester and England, today was the first time I have ever felt the need to  call out (and report) a fellow supporter for racist language.

I can't say how much it upsets me to have done that.

Good on you

Saw Fatawu and Hamza going straight down the tunnel. Maybe kicked off with others that might have stayed to clap the crowds.

So much hate between this squad and fans, both ways.

They didn't want to be on Disney that's all. Don't worry
