Afternoon all.

As part of a group that led one of the many protests made against King Power I am posting a poll for planning reasons, how may of you are actually willing to protest, against our current ownership, at some point next month or early in March on a match day?  Norwich is looking the most likely.

The nature will obviously be around the fan bases disapproval on how the club is being run, specifics will be decided later

This will be properly planned and organised for maximum effect, this forum will simply just part of it, and this one will take a bit more commitment than keyboard talk and staying away from games.

To be very clear, anyone who does not wish to take part or who feels the current ownership is adequate to take care of this football club will not be judged.

The Boycott was a start, now it's time to build.

This hopefully will be discussed with Union FS, Project Rese if numbers are favorable.

If we get a solid base here where I view there being a lot of support for change, we can look at ways to reach the wider fan base with a foundation that has been built on, if you do intend to do something about this in person  please do vote accordingly.

Project reset and the people than did the West Brom boycott need to get their heads together and come up with a coherent plan. This scattergun approach of starting a FT thread and sending a few tweets the day before the game is going nowhere.

Absolutely.

If we want to have a protest, we can't just have one every week. It's needs to be organised and coordinated.

Yes, why do you think this is a month away

This is the people who did the WBA Boycott, people need to read the post.

I saw something from Project Reset that something is planned for the Southampton game? Is this similar?

Speaking to the Project Reset guy, social media posts will be going out in due course.

Back in the day (Pleat etc) it didn't need planning....people are just too apathetic now to do anything.....football is just like going to the cinema for many of OUR fans.

Agreed. Just get to the ground on Saturday and make a fuss.

Do I really need to explain to you why making sure something is done properly instead of doing it quickly is far more effective?

I’m all for it. But a month is a bloody long time.

Isn't it time we got behind a new manager and actually gave them a chance to succeed? I hate KP but the toxicity will not help and will it even achieve anything, Top wont get rid of his mate Jon regardless.

Yes we need a long time to gain media traction, preparation, etc, I was half tempted not to give a date as I knew we'd get this reaction from some.

Realistically it's this, rush a half arsed job on the Charlton game which wont work, a Tuesday night game when people are going to struggle to get there early or an FA cup game that I imagine a lot of people will swerve anyway. Ideally it would be a little sooner but this is the best option we have.

EDIT: In fact we got drawn at St Marys didn't we so can't do that anyway.

I'm all in

And to those querying the date

Realistically the sit in the concourse failed because of lack of organisation

If we did Charlton then it would fail too because it is too late to start planning

Norwich is the next Saturday home game with any preparation time

But I would also say that one off protests are not heard, we need to gain traction

If we are serious then we need to be planning protests for every Saturday home game, at least already be thinking about QPR on the 14th March to follow this up

Get behind the new manager. Especially King if hes in charge for a few games. Can use all the support he can get

If King is still in charge on the 28th Feb and is not the permanent manager - I would suggest that shows as proof to how badly mismanaged the club is at the moment

Although I agree with your sentiment, the protest has to be clearly aimed at the board and not any new manager

Fair enough. I hope it goes well because I’ve been present for the last couple of attempts and I feel like I’ve wasted my time. Apologies for being so jaded.

You can get behind the manager and still protest against the board....

The two aren't mutually exclusive.
