Centre back needs sorting. Doesn’t matter how many you score, the forward players have a massive uphill task if they have the current selection of centre backs at the other end.

Dreaming out loud but Imagine we managed to get rid of both of those and mavididi , okoli , faes , read and Thomas out as well - that’s literally all of them - swamp completely drained not impossible but not likely unfortunately 1

Although you could argue the centre mid isn’t all that necessary with Skipp here. But we have done a good job at moving some out and shifting the culture so I really hope we don’t neglect centre back.

I’d hope so, but to be fair, we said that last season. Sometimes the rot setting in with certain players means more than perceived quality. Faes hasn’t exactly looked capable against the pre-season opponents.

Apparently we need a proper bruiser and then a Braybrooke type.

A big physical midfielder would mean leaving out Braybrooke Page or Skipp. So unless Skipp goes we are where we are.
slymunn Posted 6 August Posted 6 August I think we are at the stage where there is two players for each position. Any signings may now be on a one in, one out which is why we haven't seen a new center back come in. 1
