Theres definetley positives. The fact that we were the better team and should have won is a positive in itself. For 3/4s of the season we’ve been consistently the worse team on the pitch. Two clean sheets in three when we went 30 games without one. A solid foundation is essential to getting results. We just need to convert our chances

It is only positive if you win…. A point is no good for us. Thing is, I don’t trust us to even get a result at Sheff Wednesday.

Seriously. Many were predicting a thrashing yesterday, yet we went there, dominated, and should have won. Two of our rivals lost — one already looks doomed — and Lascelles looks exactly like the missing piece we hoped for in defence.

Yet half this forum has gone full Ant Hill Mob and is screaming “We’re all gonna die!”

Genuinely amazed some of them make it through a Tesco shop without declaring it the end of times.

If you shop at Morrison's you would.

The three points were there for the taking yesterday. Another opportunity missed, and it feels like we’re going to run out of games this season.

I can see us getting to the final game needing 1 point to be safe, and we'll royally feck it up and get beaten 3-0.

My son posed a conundrum about this kinda thing yesterday……

He asked, what if we needed a win in our last game to secure our survival and Ayew stepped up and got that vital goal that did it?

What would peoples view of Ayew be should he do this?

Personified as a legendary hero or still hated and despised as he currently is?

I genuinely couldn’t answer him.

If he did this I'd happily start a fundraiser for the Ayew statue

I'd be forever in debt to him but I'm not sure I could take the taste of that huge slice of humble pie I'd have to swallow.

For all those saying stick with Daka why?   He runs around a lot is not the signs of a good striker.  When he stood up to take that pen I turned to my mate and said he will miss.  I really hate being right but with him it's a no brainer.  He is a truly awful rubbish footballer.  With him and Ayew in the side we start with ten men every game.

He is an utterly woeful forward.

I can't believe Rowett hasn't given one of the youth players a chance up front.

Seriously we have nothing to lose.

Remember this, 70k a week and he couldn't hit a barn door from 10 yards.

Mans a joke.
