Looking better defensively and picking up more points then we were getting before he arrived?

He's had 7 games, we've got 7 points. We've played 39 games, and have 39 points. With the points deduction he's actually on a PPG pretty similar to Cifuentes.

I do think there's been improvement on the road but it does feel a bit Dean Smith.

Assume it’s been said a thousand times but we simply have to win that. We could well look back Stoke and Watford as the two ones we should have won if we go down.

Patson Daka man, 25 million ****ing quid.

Bit Dean Smith in the fact he would probably of kept us up if they sacked Rodgers earlier? Can see just in the clean sheets and performances on the whole that we look a lot better side then the last 3 months of Marti

Promised wor lass that i'd show my arse in Fenwicks window if we lost. Can't believe we didnt win. Think Pompey away might be THE one. Winner takes all. Plus side sporting life acca came in twice today so nearly  monkey up. LTID.

So he has a worse ppg than Cifuentes as you’ve had to factor the 6 point reduction to even it out

Problem is other teams down there win that game. We have nothing up top. Don't blame Rowett at all for that.

Ref not sending off their full back sums the lack of luck we have up though.

Unfortunately we're not good enough. Have to get 6 points minimum at Easter imo

A game fully there for the taking.

The Watford fans I was sitting with saw it from about 30 mins they weren't winning the game. Several injuries decimating their side, they had centre back at right back, 4 central midfielders on at one time...

If we had players with more intelligence and positional awareness and a bit more conviction, it ends up a very convincing victory. Quite a few chances to make their keeper work, but better players and more confidence they're put away..

Once again, a game we should be winning, haven't won, but could have won if the correct changes were made earlier in the season.

Games like this we may look back on as ones we could have used to pick up points.

Glad it's another clean sheet, mind. Look better with Lascelles in the side and they don't look as panicked as in previous games.

And losing from being 3 nil up at home to Southampton and many other scenarios

It was interesting watching Winks today. There were numerous times where he had the ball and he showed and at times vented his frustration at the lack of movement from players to keep the ball moving. Harry, we feel this pain every single game.

Obviously we have been so awful that any clean sheet is a positive day. We also created a number of good chances and would have comfortably won on another day.

The probably is we are in the territory now where there are very few ‘another days’ to come. Add to that Watford were awful (whether that’s generally or just today I don’t know), it really is a missed opportunity.

We still just about have enough games

to do this by the margin for error has now gone. A win last week and converting either the Stoke or today draws into a win and we sit a lot more comfortably and can afford a game like this.

The one thing that gives me some blind hope is Portsmouth being in awful form and if Oxford have peaked too soon. If we are due a little run, we may end up timing it just right. A win at Fratton Park is crucial.

Home games: Can't we just put them on a coach the night before, drive about abit, stay in a travelodge, blindfold them, drive to ground and play in away kit. Just keep them from Seagrave spa.

Just seen the highlights. Obviously a good performance as Watford had no highlight till the end.

Seems like if Daka was even league two standard then we'd  be laughing

Still, rather him on the pitch than that nob Ayew though lol

The bad news is we have Oxford and WBA to play and if we perform like that they will probably beat us .

A useful point for you but maybe a missed opportunity too .

Hopefully turn out to be the former .

Hey a clean sheet. 2 in 3 games.

Keep the faith!

In no way am I a happy fox or a happy clapper but I do see improvement and a bit of identity under Rowett. If only we weren't so fragile mentally. But then again, that's our 1st 0-0 this season. Perhaps our mentality is improving too.

We drew 0-0 in September with ......... the team that's going to win the Championship

I think he probably would've done too, but he didn't, and it feels quite similar where I think you see a gradual improvement, but not enough of one to get us over the line.

The next two in particular need to be six points. Absolutely no excuses. Two brilliant fixtures. And yet despite some of the improvement, I still don't think we deliver it. Which in fairness I put on the players as much as him.

Genuinely go so far as saying if we had a decent striker we'd be nowhere near the drop. Ayew and Daka the main architects of our downfall.

I’d go further and say take out  Daka, Okoli and RickyP and replace with average championship players

and we’d probably be in the playoffs.
