I think the acts I’ve strongly backed suggests not, but maybe I’ve not met the right guy yet. You asking me out?

I'm too old for you. You don't have the experience or the tools I require. :P

My not so guilty pleasure. Serbia however i think is a great song.

Finland however i think will absolutely piss it, but had a punt on Israeil each way at 60/1 for interest. They found a way to cheat the phone vote the past 2 years to the point they changed it, but doesnt mean they cant do it again.

Our song is shite. But its a laugh.

My wife has made a similar remark on the tool part in the past

It reminded me of another crap Eurovision song from a few years ago but I can't remember which one or which country.

Plus, why can't the twat sing in English.

I’ll be watching for the craic as usual.

Probably get behind a genuinely good act again to then get annoyed when they miss out for either political reasons or for something really whacky or, shall I say, overly eccentric.

It's the reason I occasionally watch it. Get behind one of the more different, musically accomplished acts in the knowledge that it'll either be some formulaic, earnest, but dull tune or country which has lots of "connections" that will win.

The voting is usually hilarious and predictable.

He says 3 german words 9 times the whole time in the song and the rest of it is the kings English.

If i watched Eurovision for Lyrics, it would be very shite. There is one about someones mum and a weird relationship with their brother on Albania's

Put subtitles on.

When they're not singing in English, subtitles will be  they've done this for years now.

Yeah but what's the point of singing in a foreign language?

That said, many entrants sing in English and the songs make pretty much Euro wide sense as most Europeans will speak English as a universal language , so why can't an English entrant just use English. Or is he trying be clever and influence foreign voters?

Or am I overthinking this?

Nil point, waste time, effort and money for what to come bottom. Pointless going to a party where no one likes you.

Not about the music anymore, all about politics. Despite the boycott israel will score high and dare i say will probably win it.

Anyway, Mrs Para is going on a hen weekend in Liverpool so I'll probably watch it alone and become concerned about my sexuality.

Oh, I see. Is our entrant not singing in English?

Welsh or Gaelic might boost our chances.

Saw a bit last night and thought the Switzerland entry was ok, a bit Billy Eyelash.

That said, I'm not sure that Switzerland are taking part? Perhaps I was watching something else, not Eurovision. I dunno.

Sod your Easters, your Christmases, your birthdays, your august bank holidays, your summer solstices, Eurovision is the greatest night of the year. My first child will be born this year but it still tops it.

All in English, but the chorus is 1,2,3 in German.
