People judge him as a Premier League player because we paid a Premier League wedge for him while we were in that league. We're not there now and he'll be fine at this level. There is no circumstance where we should be paying for another club to have him. As people keep saying with Okoli, lets just keep dropping until we find their level. Everyone said he'd be fine in the Championship and he was shit there as well, only redeeming feature was that he wasn't a mardy arse like Winks Edited 3 August by Tommy Fresh 3 3

South Shire Fox Posted 3 August Posted 3 August (edited) No benefit to us at all loaning him out. His wage isnt going to be the difference between staying a float or going under. Sell him or use him Edited 3 August by South Shire Fox

Most the players in the first team will be on over 15k a week. We will be paying 20 times what most clubs in the division are 1

The average salary in this division is 4k a week. We aren’t paying £80k a week or other teams paying £750 per week.

Sorry, ive got no idea what you are talking about but if you are questioning the premise that our wage bill is the highest in the league. The above is clearly an exaggeration.

If most of our players are on £15k a week then 15k/20 is £750 a week. A wage that clearly no club is paying at this level. Im not denying our wage bill is higher than anyone else’s but in typical FT fashion a huge exaggeration becomes a fact when repeated twice. As we have now got rid of most of our high earners, and hopefully some more to go, OUR FIRST TEAM PLAYERS WILL NOT BE EARNING 20 TIMES WHAT THW OPPOSITION ARE! Simple maths or I’m missing something. 1

BKLFox Posted 3 August Posted 3 August Why all the bolloxs about what we are paying compared to what others are paying in Lge 1? Were Mansfield, Bromley or Burton playing in the Premier Lge just 2 seasons ago paying premier league wages but have now got all their players down to 4k-5kpw? Of course we are going to be the highest payers for gods sake, obscene or not you can’t drop a premier Lge squad wage to 1 more fitting in Lge 1 in 1 full season and this current preseason, as much as we all would want it to be. Some comparing wages of Skipp to a Bromley player for instance and knocking the club thinking the lines are equal is laughable 2

You keep them on 5x the average (realistic for you now @hackneyfox) get promoted and they are back on an insane wage at championship level. Get promoted again and they are still on well over the odds at premier league level, hence players like Skipp needing to be moved on if anyone will take them. 1

I’d say 25K is conservative. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was on at least 30, possibly 35. Even if it was 25 then that turns to 30+ with bonuses anyway.

Long Eaton Fox Posted 3 August Posted 3 August Lets do the maths. If Skipp is on £50k a week and Preston pay him £20k a week we are still paying £30k a week. If we sign this guy who is training at Exeter £5k a week we are saving £15k a week. That's a saving of £750k over the year.
MPH Posted 3 August Posted 3 August Looks like it went down to 25k a week when we got relegated… Norwich should be able to afford all of that..
