I’ve always had a take it when’s the you don’t get opportunities or in positions you should worry about a player or team. He created and got into a few decent positions but does seem to have a worse strike of the ball and BDCR, which does make me a little sick in the mouth.

i do honestly think Riley Carr should be playing instead or at least be an option. Hopefully on Tuesday Carr will play and prove himself

His strikes were limp lettuce yesterday. However, we he had his first sub appearances he showed he is capable of putting some welly behind them. He's only a young lad, no more than some of the rest of the team. He's going to blow hot and cold. It's going to be frustrating to watch players who do that. But it's not because he's not trying.  I think he deserves more an arm on the shoulder approach, rather than 'yer shit, **** off back to brighton' approach.

Not really, I would prefer Howell being dropped for Cullen over Alves.

We don't have enough goal scorers in the team, so I understand RM playing Cullen over Howell and this has been proven correct with 2 in 2, but should be 3 in 2.

I watched the highlights again, at 1-0 up Alves, Braybrooke, had good chances to score. Lundstram also had a good chance 2nd half, but couldn't control and then Cullen should have scored with the best chance of them all.

The first 3 aren't natural scores, RM has built a team of similar  technicians but only Riis looks like he'll score more than 15 this season.

I really like Alves, Braybrooke and Page, I'll give RM credit for playing them but they have got to start scoring regularly to repay the faith he has shown in them.

As usual we dominate possession, create maybe 2/3 big chances, only take 1 and gift the opposition a goal.

KDH never looked like scoring double figures us until Enzo played him further up, they’re all capable of getting 5-10 (or more) but it requires more aggression and attacking risk - which Martin won’t do.

Alves and Braybrooke are getting chances in this RM formation.

Alves missed a sitter yesterday and I think if the Braybrooke chances falls to Riis it's in the back of the net.

Yeah that Alves chance was quite a bad miss when you watch it back; you wonder how he didn’t hit the target.

You could also argue his final balls for Riis in the first half and Cullen in the second could have been better placed and ended up making their chances much, much harder to take.

Can you imagine if Watson had been guilty of those moments as well?

Now, personally, I’m not venting anger at Alves or Watson for their performances; because I’m well aware that they’re still young players, have not played a lot of league football and will make mistakes.

You can’t expect players to be anywhere close to the finished article when they’re under the age of 22, in league one - mean, I don’t think either of them have made 50 career appearances yet?

What’s more important to me is whether they’re trying to do the right things - and I think both generally are.

The couple of things I’ve identified with Watson was his unwillingness to go on the outside (appearances prior to the Barnsley game - he seemed more willing yesterday) and then a tendency to drift inside with his runs too early.

For me, it’ll be interesting to see how he comes out of the international break; he’ll get a bit more coaching time with us and will have had more time to settle into his new surroundings.

Would have been a ****ing brilliant goal. He just didn't get his feet right in his head let alone in practice. What he was even trying to do was awkward.

I'm not slating Alves, I like him and think he's been our best player this season. Just saying he's getting chances to score in this system.
