There should be more professional footballers with names like Tommy Watson.

 

But that doesn't mean that just having a name like Tommy Watson means you get to be a professional footballer.

Have to admit i didnt know much about him, but was impressed that he was willing to drop a division to be part of the dream to get us back where we belong.

 

Whats become completely apparent, is that he is complete garbage with the ball and that moment for Sunderland is the best his career is going to get. He puts a shift in, and gets in good positions. But everytime he gets the ball i feel like sitting down, because i know nothing is going to happen.

 

He is keeping some seriously good youth talent out of the first team, and isnt nailing his chance. I would sooner see Hutchinson or Carr today, or even better Evans. Really not fussed if he is completely dropped and sent back down south in January, and i never hear of him again.

If i'm being kind, he flicked a few good balls inside to Thomas and Alves to run on to but whenever he got in more threatening spaces himself he was absolutely horrific.
