The whole point of a Russell Martin team is to get control. We barely managed it at times with Skipp and Braybrooke. We're not going to get it from only Braybrooke. That team is far too attacking and easy to play against.

Against much weaker sides there is definitely a case for us to move to just one defence minded midfielder of the 3 rather than 2 of 3.

Only four who started their playoff final started on Saturday 

 

Of their new players that started their players last were promoted with Cambridge, on loan at a poor Wigan, mid table National League Solihull, relegated to non league Harrogate, relegated from L1 Northampton, Finnish top flight

Attack teams in this league from the off and they will make mistakes and you score, simple.

 

Play the ball around the back between your centre backs waiting for the ideal opportunity to get out, and you don't create hardly any chances.

 

As time goes on they grow in confidence and it creates more pressure on our forwards to score with the very few chances this style of play allows.

Looking round some of the blocks I can’t believe how few seats there are.. sk2 had a a few sections of empty in but others have singles dotted around. There was me thinking that it would be half capacity. We joke about it being labelled at 28,000 when it’s not, but it will be there  abouts

Im hoping we can bring in a centre back who can defend, maybe if we play with a goal keeper who can catch and BDCR should be nowhere near the squad, absolute shite, id rather every youth player ahead of that washed up old donkey, I dont want to pay money to watch him pay, hes shit. 

 

Pure and simple if you dont beat these at home, you are absolutely not going to get promotion.

My point exactly. But listening to some LCFC third part media over the weekend, apparently we should be happy with a point at Notts because they’ve got “momentum” but as you highlighted there, only four players experienced that promotion last season……..

Because of the bid(s) and rumours.

 

If there is a chance of getting 12.5-15m+ add ons and % of next sale then he needs protecting. 
 

Same doesn’t apply to Souttar because:

 

1. There aren’t any more CB’s

2. His sale/fee isn’t gonna get us much in the plus column.

 

RM spoke after the County game and TBH I think he flat out lied as to why Page wasn’t in that squad.

We were concerningly bad but that game was a little hard to judge because when a club has a positive feel it can help momentum, which can have a big effect on morale etc, obviously we are the complete opposite. Then also with it being a derby it can lead to the smaller teams raising their game.
