Ash Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 In the last few weeks things haven't been good for LCFC , but more bad news . 1- Rumour i've heard is Dublin and Levein had a training bust-up , they had to be split apart . 2- Spoke to Alan Sheehan and he said Villa and Spurs are intersted in him , so he thinks he'll be gone soon. True stories , Honest !

True stories , Honest ! Its sad for us and LCFC but I Can't blame him, Get out of this place A.S.A.P...That's if he wants a decent future!
Anish Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Ash - what's your source? As for Sheehan, I doubt Villa or Spurs would be interested in him just yet - he may have potential but I don't think he's got that much. Getting a bit big for his boots if he thinks those 2 clubs are after him??

Getting a bit big for his boots if he thinks those 2 clubs are after him?? Sheehan goes out in Leicester around the clubs and bars a lot, so maybe it was there he seen him. Oh and Elvis Hammond and Ryan Smith were in voodoo on friday night, drinking non-alcoholic beverages.
TornadoShaunUK Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 I dunno about that, decent left backs are hard to come by and I think we have the makings of one in Sheehan. I think it would benefit us to send him out on loan, I doubt there would be any Premiership interest in him at such an early stage..
Jimmy Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 they'd be more likly to be targeting stearman, as he is already an established 1st teamer
Hitesh Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 The way that they are playing at the moment i cant see why any club would be interested in buying our players!
Thracian Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Its sad for us and LCFC but I Can't blame him, Get out of this place A.S.A.P...That's if he wants a decent future! Wouldn't surprise me if it were true. I said he'd be off to the Premiership. Anyway if it does turn out that way....well done Levein for dropping him after a 2-0 win and equally well done the fans for victimising him out of all proportion after the Crewe match. What a waste of a potentially outstanding left back it would be for us. And why would we have wasted him? So people like Nils, Kisnorbo, Maybury, Gilbert could play there instead, mostly like ducks out of water. Defies belief IMO. Like I said at the time people shouldn't claim to have backed his case. After the Crewe game there was barely a word in his defence. Yet virtually every other player has let City down stacks of times this season - not once!
The People's Hero Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Levein will be pleased to see Sheehan go, his turnover rate on left backs in impressive to say the least.
Babylon Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Load of cack... if a prem club is after him i'll eat my hat.
Thracian Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Load of cack... if a prem club is after him i'll eat my hat. Hope you're hungry!
Benji Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Yet virtually every other player has let City down stacks of times this season - not once! But to be fair, every other player received equal criticism don't think i've read a positive post-match review in ages other than maybe smith and hume
Thracian Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Hope you're hungry! If good coaches couldn't iron out the minor faults in Sheehan's game to make him a genuinely influencial Premiership left back and international regular then who could they work on successfully?. I'm trying to think of anyone in City's first team squad who has improved technically and effectively since his arrival and, apart from Stearman and Joey it is hard to think of one. Maybury, Gerrbrand, Gilbert, Nils, Hughes, Sylla (presumably), deVries, Tiatto, Williams (except recently), Sheehan and Hammill all seem to have gone backwards. What an indictment.

Something isn't right there.

I disagree entirely. The only players to have gone 'backwards' in that list are Maybury, Tiatto and Williams. Gerrbrand - temporary loss of form for what, 3 games. Gilbert - Plymouth fans were hardly convinced. Nils - Has been playing out of position Hughes - Has not had a run of games due to fitness problems MdV - Had 1 good season in Scotland and is our top scorer this season Sheehan - Gone backwards based on reserve team performances or what? Hamill - Again Hearts fans were hardly singing his praises before he signed not to mention limited opportunity. To say the above players have gone backwards is not entirely true.
The People's Hero Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Well either they've got worse, they were crap to begin with or they're being managed poorly. Can't have it all ways.
