shen Posted 24 March 2006 Share Posted 24 March 2006 A little off topic: When did Izzet get his first cap for Turkey, and does he even speak Turkish?
Nationwider Posted 24 March 2006 Share Posted 24 March 2006 Mark Draper was a very good player for 2-3 years who just missed out on honours. Robbie Earle was another who might have stepped up had he not played for an unfashionable club. Before I get slated, remember Carlton Palmer and Geoff Thomas did play for England. Wycombe Fox Posted 24 March 2006 Share Posted 24 March 2006 For me it's got to be one of my all-time favourites, our own Lenny Glover. Leicester could have had both wings covered for England in the early to mid seventies with Keith Weller on the right and Lenny Glover on the left. IMHO they were the best wingers in the country at the time and when backed-up by Dennis Rofe and Steve Whitworth - AWESOME! Check out Len's goal against Man Utd in 1971 and see the passing and movement. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CH3V_EuQyg
Dr The Singh Posted 24 March 2006 Share Posted 24 March 2006 Muzzy Izzett, at his peak he was phenominal, and never got picked to play for England!!!!
Finnegan Posted 24 March 2006 Share Posted 24 March 2006 ... I always assumed that was because he was Turkish?
